The hungry kiss was exactly what Victoire wanted. The soft one was a bit of a test, perhaps even her testing herself. However his lack of a response almost made her smirk a sick smirk. She sighed into his rough, hungry kiss and when he pulled away her eyes and the rest of her begged him for more silently. But he did not give it, and she was left to the room for the remaining hours, her body aching to be touched, while her mind was twisting wit hall sorts of thoughts... for instance, what was she to tell everyone now...

That night Ash went back to her after the Chests were strapped to either side on Hrukjan. Pulling her up on the wolf's back, he forced her to sit in front of him but it wasn't like she was fighting that. He was curled over her, protecting her from the cold but if he was doing it on purpose or not was unknown. By three in the morning they made it back to Hogwarts and the two slipped into the tower.

Ash got to his den soon after leaving Andrew and Praxis. He took out his wand and cursed himself in his head for what he was about to do, but he owed it to her. God he was never going to live this down. Ash started to decorate his den for Valentine's day. He even set up a table with real meet and, merlin forbid, candles. What was most important, however, was the flower vase put in the center of the table with the surprise in it. He had sent Viktorie a letter earlier to meet him there at the Den around mid afternoon. Hopefully she'd show up.

Victoire showed up, Ash's letter in her back pocket. She was wearing a simple pair of hip hugging light colored blue jeans, and an elegant top that dipped down just enough to show barely any cleavage. It showed off the necklace he gave her wonderfully as it rested just between her jutting collarbones. She knocked and waited for him to come to the door. She smiled calmly up at him. "Hello," she said gently. "How's your day been? Haven't seen much f you lately," she said casually as she walked in. She was instantly frozen to the spot, her mouth falling open slightly and her eyes widening. He... decorated?!? She closed her mouth quickly once she realized it was hanging open, and said, "Wow, I... didn't expect this." She was pleasantly shocked though, and even smiled.

And it begins... He thought. Shrugging slightly, he decided he'd roll with it for the day. She was right, he hadn't seen her in a while. Walking up behind her, Ash slipped his arms onto her waist and let his hands hold onto her hips, pulling her back against him as he whispered in her ear. "Happy Valentine Day, Victoire." He kissed her neck and then, when she tilted her head, he kissed her cheek. After a moment he turned her around and kept a strong arm over her as they walked toward the 'kitchen' that actually was starting to look like a kitchen. He sat her down at the new table and sat across from her, running this fingers through his hair. "...I'm not very good at this sort of things so...yeah..."

Victoire did not jump at his contact, but her breath hitched a little. She was utterly speechless and, just after he kissed her neck, her head tilted slightly so that she could see him and he was kissing her cheek. What had gotten into him... She let him lead her into the kitchen area, and her mouth dropped yet again. This time she caught it quickly and closed it, looking around. He spoke and she smiled softly, letting her eyes flutter closed while his fingers caressed her hair. "I..." she just didn't know what to say. "You've done wonderfully," she finally managed to breath out as she sat. Her eyes were alight with something new, though she was unaware of it, and she couldn't push that smile away. "Thank you." she said, sitting down. She wasn't sure what had possessed him to do all this, but she wasn't going to argue. She was going to do as she always did, and just let him be however he was going to be. She'd long since accepted the fact that he was always surprising her, but this time it was much different. Her eyes eventually made their way to her hands, which were in her lap neatly, then to his own hands.

He nodded slightly, seeming uncomfortable with all this, before getting up and bringing her a plate of actual food, and not raw deer meat either. He had gone to the Leaky Cauldron before leaving with Andrew and Praxis and picked up a whole meal of things he knew Victorie liked. How did he know that? He was very observant of that which he claimed, including her. Putting the plate in front of her he scratched his neck again. "Here...figured you might like to actually act like a normal girl for a while...it wont happen often if you stick with me." He murmured before sitting down again. His eyes stayed on her, only flickering away now and then to check on the gift he had hidden. He wanted to surprise her at least once with something that would remind her later on that maybe he wasn't as much of a bastard as he always acted, since a chance like this wasn't going to come up again any time soon.

she was busy looking around and hadn't noticed he got up and fetched her some food. She smiled gently though, letting her eyes close for a moment. She wanted to remember this moment, considering it was not an often occurring one. "Thank you," she said again. "I know that," she said simply, in her usually serene tone, when he told her it wasn't going to happen often. She had accepted that, and the very way she said it portrayed that she had accepted it and was alright with it. She didn't really want to be doted upon all the time to be perfectly honest. She had an attitude to match her sisters sometimes, and it was best that men weren't dropping presents and opening doors for her all the time anyway. "It looks good," she said with a smile before lifting a fork and taking a bite. each time his eyes flitted to the hidden gift, Victoire was preoccupied with getting food on her fork or admiring the decorations. It was rather odd seeing the den in this shape and truthfully, she wasn't sure she liked it. But in a sense she did because she had not expected any of this. "Well," she finally said, setting her silver wear down for a break from the food and lifting her glass to sip it. "For not being good at it, you've done a wonderful job."

"Magic is a wonderful thing." was his only answer when she said the decorations looked good. It was true, if he hadn't been able to do decent magic none of this would be happening. "...Well...I don't know what you want to do and I know its late so if you want to get back to Hogwarts you'll have to leave soon...but if you want you can stay here again...or come with me. I have to go check on a pregnant comrade." He said as if it meant nothing, and it didn't, his eyes captured her gaze and that was it. He didn't care. getting up, he walked over to her and put his long fingers around her chin, lifting it before he kissed her in an oddly gentle yet demanding way. What could one say, he was an animal and if he wanted something he'd take it. But even werewolves could learn new tricks, it just took a lot for that to happen.

"Yes, yes it is," she said to him, finishing her drink. She agreed to accompany him, not really wanting to go back to Hogwarts and not really wanting to stay here alone. She had been getting an odd feeling as far as Rhukjan was concerned, and didn't really want to be around to piss her off. "I'll come," she said simply as he stood and came around to her. She let him take the kiss, again a little shocked at the gentleness of it. Of course she kissed him back, knowing she only got them when he wanted them. She stood and waited for him to be ready to leave. "Hogwarts is too... fluffy for me right now anyway," she said with a slight chuckle. Flying Cupids were everywhere, and one almost got her while she was passing Eric Healy in the halls. She smiled at Ash slightly though, and simply waited. "I know it doesn't mean much to you, but... I really appreciate all this," she said. Her eyes were on her hands until after her pause, when they shot to his.

"You'd be surprised how much that does mean to me." He said when just before she looked up. In his hand was a flower, the same she had picked the day they met in that forgotten garden. The moment she took it the flower exploded into a neon red light before turning into a crystal rose that shined with an eerie light. He grinned slightly as he moved to stand behind her again, wrapping his arms around her and setting his chin on her shoulder as she looked at the flower. "...Its enchanted so that any one wish will be granted, no matter what..." he kissed her neck, only now it was different from a greeting, it was in an almost sensual way. "...stop being as tormented and screwy as me, Victorie. Its not something you should be okay with...use your wish to be happy again." he whispered before he kissed the other side of her neck like that as well.

Victoire was in absolute awe. By his actions, by the flower, by everything this day seemed to be bringing. Her eyes were fixed on the now glossed rose, but when he spoke she gave him a gentle smile, turning in his arms to look up at him. She eyed him for a moment, as if she'd never looked at him before this moment. "Now why would I" she begin, eying the glass rose, spinning it between her fingers as she spoke, "waste a wish that's already come true?" She looked up at him, still holding it tightly in her hand. She pulled it to her chest protectively. "No, I'll just save it until I need it." She smiled gently and for the first time really, she leaned up to kiss him rather than waiting for him to initiate.

Ash smirked before he closed the kiss, his lips pressing against her in a dark, animalistic way. His hand moved down from her arm to her hands over her chest. Wrapping his fingers around that hand, he moved his other to wrap around her body and crush her to him. They remained like that, kissing and embracing in an odd way, until he finally slipped his lips away from hers so she could breath. His hand stayed over hers as he silently took her to a different tunnel than he use to bring her around and this one took a while but ended up leading to the outside area of the cliff his den was on. It was night, and this was the most amazing area to see stars, which was what they were there for.

Victoire was out of her mind with everything that was going on today. She wanted to speak, but not knowing where he was taking her brought back that same thrilling feeling that meeting him had. She just smiled and let him lead her through the long labyrinth that was his den. She loved how natural it was here, and as the night air hit them she gasped. All she could see was blackness and... lots and lots of stars. She was tempted to wish this moment never died, but that would be a foolish thing to wish for. She didn't say a word, afraid it would ruin everything if she did, but she gazed up with wide eyes and her mouth fell open again but only slightly this time.

It was cold, a few snowflakes falling here and there, and since she didn't have her coat on he figured she'd be cold by now so he moved so that his large body was covering her's from the cold, holding her close enough that she could have laid against him yet still see the stars and everything. He looked up and noticed the constellations and started pointing some out to her, telling her old werewolf legends of them.

Victoire did in fact lay her head against him, and she also laid her hand on his arm, the rose still clutched to her chest. She seemed to be blissfully ignorant to the fact that this was entirely odd. Not tonight, instead she was fascinated with his stories and listening intently. She laughed a little and awed, admiring each constellation. Oh how she love the stars. The seemed to reflect in her gentle eyes as she gawked at the night sky. She held on to him as if it would keep them here in this moment longer, though she knew it wouldn't. He had to check on his friend, and Victoire was smart enough to know this wouldn't last forever. She let her head loll to the side slightly, closing her eyes while he spoke. She opened them long enough to see the constellations he pointed out, but let his stories and legends take over hier mind as she closed her eyes each time.[/color]

Ash kept this up until the snow made it impossible to show her any more stars. "...Lets get your coat...I need to check on her before something happens to the baby..." He couldn't let another child get hurt because he didn't stick around. Not after what he did to Hrukjan. So, Ash took her back through the den and picked up anything she needed before calling for the wolf. The giant appeared and nuzzled him slightly before looking at Victoire and nodding her head. "We have to go check on the girl"
"Who? Why?"
"Praxis...because she's pregnant." Hrukjan didn't need to ask another question, she just let the two climb onto her back. Within seconds she was off. Ash sat behind Victoire, his arms wrapped around her to keep her arm and balanced. They ran so fast the snow was painful she he sheild her from the blizzard until they finally made it to the Manor.

As Hrukjan entered the den an Victoire slid from her back, she winced. She fell back into the wall, overwhelmed by all that had just happened. Plus the odd feelings she'd been getting. She had no clue what was going on with her, but Victoire placed a hand on the large wolf's muzzle after the healing was done. "Thank you..." she mumbled. When the wolf moved to turn away she spoke again. "I'm sorry, Hrukjan. If I've upset you, I'm sorry..." She couldn't say more, because Ash and Andrew were coming into the den. She gave her a last apologetic look and stood up, trying not to show the problems she still had.

"It is fine child." Hrukjan said in her head as she continued to clean and heal the wounds.

Ash and Andrew appeared down the mountain side and climbed up within seconds, both too fast to let it slow them down. Once they got deeper into his cave they found Hrukjan licking at Victoire's healing wounds. Ash didn't miss a beat. He moved and knelt beside her, sighing. "You want to help Praxis and the babies don't you?" When she said she did he started to explain about the death eaters, how all of them were following the Dark Lord and the only way she could help them would be to promise to never tell a soul and be marked. She didn't have to be a death eater, she simply had to agree to be Ash's charge and he would be responsible for her. "If you agree, give me your hands and we have to preform the cursed promise spell." He knew if she broke the promise she would die and the truth was, if she couldn't be trusted he didn't care if she died or not. His hands waited for her to offer themselves.

Victoire, taken aback but not as surprised as they thought she may be, nodded slowly. She had no idea, but Vitoire handled most surprises quite well. She gave him her hands without hesitation. "Do whatever you've got to do," she told him calmly. The spell hurt, but once it was finished she sighed gently, pushing off the returning headache for now. She stood slowly, weakly though she tried not to show it.

Andrew noticed her weakness and he was sure Ash did too. He thought she was acting rather odd, but he couldn't really figure out her problem. At first he suspected she may be pregnant, but after giving her a look over from the doorway he decided that probably wasn't the case. But if not, they might need Desdemona to look her over after Praxis and the children were taken care of... "Ash," he said, motioning the other man over. "What's wrong with her? Do you know?" He spoke low, not wanting Victoire to get mad.

Victoire, finally able to hold herself up, strolled over to the wolf. She gave her a gentle smile, petting her and scratching behind her ears. You were wonderful back there, she thought to the mammal. She gave another smile before walking over to Ash and Andrew. "So... do we go there now?"

"Unless you two need anything here, yes." Andrew told her, giving Ash a slightly questioning look before they left.

"Haven't a clue. She's been like that the past few days...." Ash murmured back before he motioned to Andrew to wait there as he went to get more things for Praxis' treatment. He wasn't planning on coming back here for a while. Not with the way things were turning out. He filled as much as he could in a pack and brought it with him upstairs, grabbing anything else he thought he might need while he was gone.

You are ill....why? the wolf and the girl spoke through their minds for a while until Ash returned and Hrukjan walked to him, nuzzling him lovingly. He stroked her ears and then she knelt before him. "Get on. It'll be faster this way then appeariating and walking the rest of the way, you know we can't get anywhere near the lair that way. Once Andrew and Victoire were on he walked with them outside the den and moved down the mountain slightly. A few moments later he came back with a giant bolder in his hands, two times the size of his den's opening. He dropped it into place, leaving no way for anyone or thing to get into his home. He climbed onto Hrukjan and they were off.

I... I don't know, It was all she could tell Hrukjan... she didn't know. She didn't even know she was ill. She was unsure like a child, and had no idea how to truly find out what was wrong with her even. All she could do was tell Hrukjan her problem. I've been so full the past few days... had headaches, and... well... when I changed today I couldn't hold it for long... and that's never been a problem... She gave Hrukjan a look that said the things she wouldn't say aloud. She was scared. When the men were ready she climbed on her back, behind Andrew, and waited for Ash to climb up so they could be off.

Andrew waited as patiently as he could, wanting nothing more than to get back to Praxis. He was the first to climb on Hrukjan's back. They were finally off and he just hoped they'd make it there before anything else happened.

Ash huffed angrily as he moved the bolder in front of his home and waited for her to enter before closing it behind the two. The smell of salted meats lingered in the air as he headed for the storage to get something to eat. He was damn hungry. He picked up three slabs of meat and started to roam, not noticing her at all really. He ended up going down the thin tunnel steps to his own chamber, where he plopped on the animal skin woven bed. He laid there and ate his meat as he looked up at the stone ceiling.

Victoire went off on her own to check the chains and what not. She wanted to make sure everything was ready and secure for him when his change came. She hoped Hrukjan would not show up and try to ruin the next few days. Even though his changes sucked, Vctoire enjoyed being able to take care of him without his bitching. He let her during these times, and lucky for them both she still had her glass rose. Victoire had thought about using it to keep Hrukjan at bay, or to ensure Ash would not leave her... but she couldn't do that. Her strict morality would not let her do such a thing.

Victoire made herself something light to eat and went to the room with the chain, sitting down against the wall to wait for him to come out. She didn't want to follow him and be a pain in his ass, knowing he didn't always want her around.

Ash stayed down there for a few hours before he fell asleep. He a howling snore he seemed to curl up like a dog for a while. It was late the next morning by the time he woke up and by then he felt hungry again. He first went to the storage area and pullled out more meat, eating it quickly and not leaving even a drop of blood behind. After eating a good fill he started wandeirng around. He followed Victorire's scent and huffed as he entered the chainning room. He looked her over before testing the chains himself. He hated this. And the fact that it was getting closer made him angry, which was bad news for her in the end. Hell, let Hrukjan show up. He'd probably end up killing her if she annoyed him righ tnow.

Victoire fell asleep in that room that night, curling up on the floor as if it were no big deal. She didn't wake up until Ash came in, but she merely opened her eyes at first. She could sense he was tense, and stayed where she was for a minute. When he didn't seem to be leaving, Victoire risked standing up, stretching and yawning silently. She leaned back against the wall, a little groggy still thanks to sleeping on he hard ground. It wasn't that big a problem, Victoire could deal with anything. She briefly wondered if she could do anything, but knew the only thing that would help would be leaving, and that could make things worse too...So she just stood there for now, calmly watching him.
