Forbidden Forest

Subject: Forbidden Forest Sun Sep 26, 2010 9:57 am

The Forbidden Forest borders the edges of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry grounds. As its name suggests, it is strictly off limits to students - except in the case of detention, or Care of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally take place there. Of course, with the various dangerous creatures living in the Forest, few students would probably even want to venture into it. The Forbidden Forest houses or has housed many dangerous creatures, such as:

* Acromantula society, once led by Aragog
* Community of centaurs including Bane, Magorian, Ronan, and Firenze
* Herds of unicorns and Thestrals
* Rubeus Hagrid's giant half-brother, Grawp , who is moved by Albus Dumbledore to a cave in the mountains surrounding Hogwarts
* Three-headed dog named Fluffy , who was released into the forest after serving as one of the guards to the Philosopher's Stone during the 1991-1992 school year.
* Blood-Sucking Bugbears
* Bowtruckles
* After the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament, the only surviving Blast-Ended Skrewt was sent to live in the Forest as well.
* It is also rumoured that many other types of creatures reside there including werewolves, trolls, and a few giants, though only Grawp is known.

*A Flying Ford Anglia once belonging to Arthur Weasley also resides in the forest after flying into the Whomping Willow in 1992

Ron kept his arm around her as they walked and didn't stop until they made it to a fallen tree just within the bounds of the forest, an area where the light still went so many of the creatures left it alone beside the unicorns. It was far enough away no one could hear or see them, but close enough to the grounds that they could get back to the building quickly if need be. "So how was class with Harry?" He teased as they sat and he pulled her down onto his lap. He knew she hated Harry so he liked teasing her about people she was stuck with and hated, even if he was good friends with the other boy.

Selena grimaced and scoffed, but she let him tug her onto his lap. "Hated it," she said simply, sighing a little. "She sat there with him for a few minutes, just laying against him. "I feel bad for Hermione though," she said absently, more thinking out loud than anything. "With Draco forcing her to be with him, she's forced to be unfaithful to that other guy." She made a slight face, but shrugged. "It's rather sad for her, but oh well." Selena smiled at Ron. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. She pulled away only far enough to reach into her bag. She pulled out one box at a time, handing him first the box of chocolate and creams. "I thought you'd like these. It's not all, but..." she just shrugged and waited for him to open it. Then she pulled out the small box containing the gypsy watch. She hoped he would like it.

Ron laughed, thinking she was silly for her hate. At mention of Hermione it was his turn to scoff. "I don't think she's thought too much about Krum since that started and I don't think Malfoy is forcing her into too much." he shrugged slightly and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her with a smirk. When she handed him the first box he opened it and smiled, taking a chocolate and biting into it. He made a face at the taste and then chuckled. "I'm playing, I like these." the next box had him grinning. "This is...really cool, where did you get this?" he looked it over before putting it on. It look like someone professionally made it so he didn't even think that she made it. When she said she did his eyes widened. "Damn, sexy, smart, and creative, waaay out of my league." he chuckled and kissed her gently.

Selena's brows furrowed. However when he commended the sweets she smiled and giggled, playfully sapping his shoulder. She grinned proudly when he asked where she got it. "It's a Gypsy watch... that I made for you myself." She laughed a little. "You think I'm sexy now just wait until you see your last present," she said giving him a sly wink. She snuggled to him. "Wearing that promotes health and good luck," she told him while her fingers played with his forearm. "I was abandoned shortly after birth, but a Gypsy's magics in their genes. We just... know..." She smiled softly, closing her eyes and just breathing deep. She loved nature, the raw power of it.

Ron grinned in an odd way. "Oh yeah? When do I get to see this last gift?" Chuckling, he kissed her gently again. "I like it, thanks...and here, this is yours." He pulled a small black box from his chest pocket and held it out to her. When she opened it a sea green and silver broach sat on a satin cloth. The broach swirled with dark green tinges over the sea green. "Don't be fooled by looks." he whispered in her ear as he took the broach and pinned it to her shirt. The thing glowed and changed its form into something that would please her. "Close your eyes." he whispered soon after however. He took her hand once her eyes were closed and put her fingers against the broach. It glowed and feasted on her gypsy love of nature. Within moments the area around them exploded in life and magic, the earth growing with erotic flowers that surrounded her. "I hope you like this...it'll feed off your love of nature and bring everything alive whenever your wearing it." he whispered, hoping she liked it. He had been saving for a new broom but ended up spending all his money on this when he was in Diagon Ally...well, maybe not 'Diagon Ally'.

As she opened the gift Selena gasped. The colors alone were magnificent. "Oh my, Ron," she said glancing up at him and back don to the broach. As he pinned it to her shirt it swirled and took the form of a lion's head. When he put her hand on it and everything cam alive around her she sighed inwardly and her free hand moved to her lips. "Oh, Ron," she breathed out in barely a whisper, her voice trembling a little. "Seems like you found a gypsy to make this, or you picked it up somewhere illegal," she said with a slight grin. She didn't say it, the grin was because she could see he was becoming more and more like a Slytherin. Her mood soared as she sat there ad the things growing wildly around her reflected that. "You've found a way into my heart, Ron Weasley," she said gently but surely, kissing him deeply as the wildlife engulfed them.

So he wasn't going to say he got it when Malfoy dragged him to Knockturn Alley, and he wasn't going to admit it was illegal. He totally knew other gypsies, yeah that was it. He smirked, all his fear of her hating it disappearing in that kiss. His arms wrapped around her and he held her tight, one hand in her hair the other around her waist. The kiss lasted a long time before they finally broke for air, their foreheads pressing together. "Glad you like it...I was afraid I was as bad at picking things for you as I thought I would be." he chuckled and held her close, afraid the flowers would steal her away.

Selena smiled, letting out an airy sort of chuckle. "Ron, you've done wonderfully," she told him honestly. She let out an almost bitter chuckle now. "I might actually like Valentines Day this year," she told him before looking at him again. She smiled at his expression and kissed his cheek sweetly. "Why, Ron?" She said after a moment. "Why are you with me? I know we hit it off immediately, but why are you with me?" She looked him in the eyes, waiting for an answer.

Ron gave her a mocked shock look when she said she might like Valentines day as if it were the worse thing in the world to admit to. When she kissed his cheek he wanted to grab her and kiss her but those lips started moving so he had to hang on. He tilted her head up and looked down at her, his eyes showing that he thought she was silly for asking. "Does what I said earlier count?" when she looked confused he explained. "Your sexy, smart, and creative, is that reason enough?" He chuckled and smiled at her. "I'm here because you've got me wrapped around your finger. Why? Not because of how sexy you are, which you are amazingly sexy, but because your someone who is smart, amazing, wonderful, and at the same time you don't act like you want to rub that in everyones noses. Least not mine." he gave her his wonky grin and kissed her gently.

Selena was confused until he elaborated, which only made her smile. She didn't blush, no hat rarely happened with Selena, but she did smile a little shyly. "No one's ever wanted me for my smarts, or any of that stuff. Just the sexy, usually," she joked, but his lips too hers, and stole her away from words. She couldn't say she really cared, but she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him sweetly. "You're one in a million, Ron." she told him honestly. "You are not as out of my league as you seem to think you are. Personally I'm glad you and Hermione never got together." She smiled obliviously and kissed him deeply. She had no idea how the two had been getting closer again and how flirty they'd been. No, she remained ignorant to it and kissing him happily.

Ron smiled and shok his head after the next kiss. In truth, he didn't notice he and Hermione had been getting slightly flirty, he just thought they were being friends again. If that meant they were flirty then...well they had ben flirting since the first year. ((Ooc: DUH)) He caressed her cheek and smiled. "Selena, I don't know what number scale your using, but I'm nothing special. Most girls like you are out of my league, but you? Your too good for that git Malfoy let alone a bloodtraitor like me." he said teasingly, holding her close. "I'm glad he didn't steal you away."

Selena looked into his eyes. She didn't want to tell him Draco almost had stolen her away, before she ever danced with him at the ball. She also didn't want to tell him that if it weren't for Draco forgetting about her she would never have been dancing with Ron to begin with. "Me too..." she said simply. "And you're not a bloodtraitor... not anymore." she kissed him with a slight gentle passion. She was one hundred percent Gypsy, but also purely a witch. She had not a single muggle in her family tree, so she had none of it in her. "I don't know how you could think you're not good enough," she said to him, bitterly chuckling and looking down. "I'm a Gypsy, Ron. I have a completely different set of views than you, one of them believing it's alright to use my body to get what I want or need..." She sighed a little. "How can you be sure I'm sticking around?" She doubted herself more than she suspected he did, though normally she didn't even think about it.

Ron was surprisingly cold in the way he explained himself to that question. "I don't expect you to stick around Selena." He looked at her and gave her a sad sort of smile. "I never did. I expect you to get whatever you want from me, even if that's just having me around for a while, maybe a long time, but eventually I know you'll want someone or something better. Selena, I don't care. When you decide you don't want to stick around trust me I will fight for you. I will try with all my might to keep you here with me, but I wont think about it until then. I enjoy every day that you do choose to stay with me, and until I realize thats going to end, I don't want to worry myself over it. If I worry I'll end up pushing you away, I know I will." he held her close and whispered in her ear. "I don't want to push you away...Selena, I want to stay with you for as long as you'll let me."

Selena was extremely shocked at his answer and the way he said it all. He sounded more like a Gypsy than she'd just given him credit for. For the first time since... well, since she and Draco had become so close really, she was able to let him slip away from her mind. She just smiled at Ron. "Don't talk like that," she said, caressing his face a little. "Don't sit there and think that I'll leave... that's enough to push me away... I chose you and I'm not going to be the one to find better," she said with a small sweet grin. "Ron you deserve much better than you give yourself credit for, I don't see myself finding a reason to be without you" She was giving him an innocent gaze now, one she'd never given before. It wasn't fake and it wasn't forced, Selena looked completely vulnerable at this moment. And truthfully, he was. For the first time in a long time Selena was giving someone the power to hurt her. A power she prayed he didn't tap into.

He moved to her ear, kissing her cheek on the way, and kept that wonky grin. "Selena, I don't think I'll find any reason either." He shifted her so he could cuddle her close to him on that fallen tree. "Your beautiful you know that right?" he randomly whispered as his hand went through her hair, a smirk crossing his lips as he peeked at her, knowing it was a random change of subject but he wanted to cheer her up and not make her think he 'd hurt her. He never wanted to.

Selena didn't answer, but she closed her eyes and smiled, leaning into his hand. As a gypsy she had no problem with self confidence or the look of her body. She knew well that she was irresistible, but generally she only like to tease others with it. She'd learned that wasn't quite a good idea, after Draco had to save her... twice, as he always reminded her. She just looked into Ron's eyes for a moment. Forgetting about her other gift for him she wrapped both arms around him. The bag fell off the tree, the box slipping out but it was wrapped so it didn't really matter. She kissed him deeply, blissfully happy that he felt the way he so apparently did.

In the kiss Ron decided something that was going to get him killed later that night but, eh, he'd deal. As soon as their lips parted he caressed her cheek, stopping her from kissing him again for a moment as he held her tight. "Selena...want to come with me to my family's house? We're all being dragged back for Valentines dinner and I'd love to drag you with me." he smirked, hoping she'd agree to it. His hand kept playing with her hair as he waited for her to answer.

She thought about it for a moment. Even in front of his family she would be no different, always embracing her Gypsy heritage. "I..." she said at first, unsure about it. "I won't make the best impression on your mother," she said, turning her head from him. When he turned it back or spoke again she looked up at him. A slow smile spread. "I'd love to," she said gently, her eyes blinking slowly. She knew this meant they were taking a step forward. This wasn't a lusty hungry relationship anymore... She knew by doing this they were agreeing silently that there was something more between them then a strong hunger to feel one another. She smiled at him, now a little excited to meet his whole family. "I hope they like me," she said quietly, unsure if they really would or not...

"Be your strong willed, snappy self and my brothers will love you. Get them and everyone will love you." He smiled and couldn't wait to bring her home with him. "Do you want to stay here or leave? It'll take a while to get there." When she looked around he whispered in her ear. "You know, I'm glad your coming. I get to stare at a beautiful girl all night." He smiled and held her tight, cuddling her.

Just as a teasing little joke Selena grinned. "If you think I'm beautiful now, wait 'till you see your last gift." She raised her brows together a few times in rapid motion, smirking gently. She laughed a little. "We can leave whenever you're ready, I just have to bring this back into the common room... unless there's somewhere I can steal you to there?" she waited to move. If there was nowhere she could have him at his mothers, he would have to go back through the common room, probably bicker in a cute way with Draco, and put her present back into her dorm where it could be seen at the right time by Ron.

"I'm sure there is a place." he smirked, glad for once that he lived in the attic. All he had to do was kick Harry out of his room." he kissed her again and stood up, carrying her in his arms. "So ready?" regardless of her answer he started to walk with her until she gave him no choice but to let her go. When he did he smirked and took her hand, locking it with his own, and started toward their ride. They ran into Harry and Ginny as they got into his father's magical car. Hermione and Krum were already there.

Selena giggled and snatched the box out of the bag on their way out. She shrunk it with her wand and slipped it secretly into her pocket. She let him carry her but only until they were in sight of other students. "Ron, I'm wearing a miniskirt, they don't need to see what's under it," she said with a wicked giggle. She took his hand happily and walked with him, smiling a little shyly once they reached the car.
