Castle Walls

Eric tried to think about anything but the situation they were in right now. He didn't want any sudden rise to come of this, and so he focused on Quidditch and painting, and anything else he could possibly think of. They needn't be in here long, just long enough for the person to pass. He heard footsteps and stopped breathing as they approached. They walked clean passed the closet, and Eric let out his breath. He looked down, shivering at how close she was and at the feel of her breath on his neck. His hand was still on the doorknob. "Alright," he whispered. "I'll open it, and you check..." He turned the knob very carefully and creaked the door open enough for a single line of light to shine through, which meant she could see. "Anything?" he asked.

Dominique looked out of the small crack, having had to do the same thing he did. She glanced for a while until she noticed the swoosh of a cape. "Close it, a teacher!" she whispered quickly. As his arm moved to close the door she stumbled and leaned into him, blushing again and swallowing hard as she tilted her head up and looked at him in the darkness. Her breath tickled against him and she felt his on her, which just made her close her eyes and try, try try try, to focus on anything ANYTHING else.

Eric couldn't help but grin as he closed the door and she stumbled against him. "Don't.. make.... a sound..." He whispered extremely softly, having to do so in her ear for her to hear. He stood there with closed eyes, trying not to look down at her. He popped an eye open the other followed as he barely gaze in the dark room. His body seemed to take control and, with one hand holding the door closed still, his other hand floated to her back gently and he kissed her silently, his lips molding to hers perfectly, even in the situation they were in.

Dominique shivered against him slightly, not able to help it in this cold space. She tried, she tried so very hard to focus on something else but his hand on her back grabbed her focus and she just couldn't.... her lips molded to his instantly and she leaned into him. She couldn't help it now. His hand pulled her in and her hands curled just slightly to hold his shirt as she kissed him back, her mind floating away from the currant situation.

Eric kissed her gently, softly, but held her tightly against him and his hand slowly slid from the door knob. The closet stayed closed, but his hand moved to join the other at her back. Now one rested on her lower back and the other rested higher, just between her shoulder blades. He kissed her for what seemed like forever. Finally he broke from the kiss, breathing just a little bit heavier. "Ready to check again?" he whispered his question, his tone a little airier than it had just previously been.

In reality, she didn't mind this too much but she couldn't help but think about what happened before. That being said, when he broke the kiss--her own breathing a little harder-- she was conflicted on how she should feel. Part of her wanted to grab him and keep the kiss going but the other part was glad it was done for now. "...Yeah..." she breathed. When he opened the door a crack she glanced outside and waited for a moment before nodding. "It's safe...." She faced him again, her face still close to his and their lips nearly touching.

He nodded and moved his hand from her lower back to open the door a a little. he moved to lean and look as well, but she turned and they nearly clashed. He froze and for a split second he thought about leaving that broom cupboard. He thought about being a total gentleman and walking her to her dorm and then to his own.... and a split second longer gave him the time to think about something better. He just wanted to kiss her a bit longer. He pulled the door closed again gently, and let her be pulled to him by it, the small space between their lips closed. His hand went where it was before, no lower. He merely kissed her again as they had just done, he didn't try to further things the whole time they were in the cupboard together, he simply... kissed her.

Dominique made a slight noise, like a gasp or a sharp intake of breath, as she felt the door push up against her back and bring her into him again. Their lips touched and time froze, giving them all the time i the world- or so it seemed- to stand in that cupboard kissing. She moved her hands up from his chest to his shoulders and kept them there for a while but she didn't like how that felt. Her arms slipped up, over his shoulders, and locked behind his neck. This felt better. She was pulled into him as she moved, making her boy push against his without her arms being a boundary any longer. Soon she was lost in the kiss and couldn't even think any more. Thank goodness they weren't making too much noise because once or twice someone walked passed silently.

He had to say he was a little surprised when her arms locked around his neck. Her body was now flush against his and he felt as if they may just fuse into one being should they do this for too long. But he didn't, wouldn't, couldn't let her go. Not now, not for a good long time. He held her like this for what seemed like hours to him, his arms sliding up her back until the one on her lower back rested in the center of her back over the back strap of her bra. He tried nothing though, only held her against him, eliminating any possibility of air slipping in between them. He did not lean her or himself against anything, no, he simply pulled her close against him, his higher hand having slipped ever-so-gently into her hair, cradling the back of her head as it tilted to hep their lips mold just right. His own head was tilted opposite hers, their mouths forming together in a perfect, silent moving puzzle. He slid his tongue against her bottom lip, begging for permission to enter. When she gave it he wrapped his tongue around hers and flexed it a few times, massaging hers. He slowly coaxed it into his own mouth and sucked on it gently before letting it slip back where it came from. Then he just danced with her tongue, not fighting for dominance but moving with hers rather than against it. He smiled softly, his eyes closed, and he absorbed her into him completely, unable to get enough of those eyes, those lips... Finally he slowly pulled away, sucking on her bottom lip softly before kissing her flush again and pulling away to breath a little heavy. His breath came down on her much warmer than before. he just looked down at her beautiful eyes, shining through the darkness.

Dominique liked this position better. A lot better. To the point she didn't want to be taken from him and refused to let it happen should anything try to separate them. She didn't notice where his hand was since it was over her jacket and showed her true weakness now. This moment proved she trusted him so much that she wasn't afraid. No...she was happy...she was cheerful. Dammit she didn't want this to end. As his hand move into her hair she let him control it, happy to sink even deeper into the kiss. When she felt his tongue she couldn't help but shiver, surprised. After a moment her lips slowly parted and her warm breath was his permission. When she felt his tongue against hers she shivered again, surprised by how odd and wonderful that felt. She hadn't kissed like this in a long, long time. Her tongue crept after his, slipping into his mouth slowly. When he captured her tongue and sucked on it she couldn't help but move closer to him and let out a sharp sound that nearly sounded like a moan but wasn't-quite- there yet. Her tongue returned to her and she gave into the odd feeling, letting the dance between their continue for a long while as the two fought off breath. She let herself sink into him, her body, her mind, her heart. She gave in and even her lips curved into a smile during their tongue dance. When he sucked on her lower lip she made another sharp sound but it was softer than the one before it and she thankfully kissed him again, even if it was only a quick one. As she looked up at him, her eyes shining in the small line of light the door let slip in, she smiled and blushed just slightly. Her breath was as warm as his at it hit his lower cheek and neck. She bit her lip slightly, not sure what to do now. She was either going to pull away or kiss him again or...well she didn't know another or and her mind wasn't working enough to tell her one.

He wanted so badly to kiss her again, to never stop should he have his way. He thought about it, but finally sighed. "We should get to bed before morning sneaks up on us completely," he whispered gently, using the back of his knuckles to caress her blushing cheek. He kissed her again though, a quickish gentle meld of lips, then he let her check to see if the coast was clear gain. Once they knew it was they slipped from the cramped cupboard, and with a last, gentle grin in its direction, he continued on their way to her common room, keeping his eyes peeled for teachers and whatnot. "You're wonderful," he told her finally as they approached the common room. He tugged her into his arms again and kissed her with intent. Not with sexual intent, but he wanted to be sure she knew he was going to be there in the morning, waiting for her. He would always be there for her, always. "Have a good night," he murmured between kissing her. "Sweet dreams," he said as they finally broke away, though both reluctant to do so. He let her go, his hand holding hers until they were both outstretched and her hand finally slipped from his grasp. He let his own slowly descend to his side and stood watching her, as always mesmerized by her, until she'd gone into her common room. Then he finally let out a sigh, and smiled all the way to the Huflepuff common room.

Dominique was as sad as he was to leave that cupboard but she knew they had to. Besides, the walk was still a long one. Or not. It seemed like no time at all had passed by the time she heard his wonderful voice again. Shaking her head, she turned to him. "No I'm not." her lips twisted in a grin that turned to a smile as their lips touched once more. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him as her lips gave him the same message. She couldn't wait to see him the next day. Not wanting to let him go, she clung to him for as long as she could. "I will have wonderful dreams of sitting on the wall looking at the stars with you." chuckling, she gave him one more, long sweet kiss before whispering. "Goodnight...sleep well..." she slowly backed away, slipping into the doorway behind the portrait.

With a loving sigh she turned once she could see him no more and ran to her dorm, dressing and laying down. She fell asleep with a smile on her face that night.

~Time Skip~

That morning she woke up happily and dressed quickly. She slipped on dark blue pants with white fur boots. Her shirt was a plan white corset design, but no real corset included, blouse. She slipped the jacket on and it kept the white fur but the blue changed from light to dark to match her pants. Her hair, untamed as always, laid in a fluffy curl as she brushed it best she could. Putting in snowflake earrings for no reason but to do so, she left the door with a skip in her step. She didn't run into anyone, and didn't even look to see if anyone was around, as she left the Gryffindor Common Room and headed toward the Great Hall.

Eric walked with her to her common room and waited outside the room until she came out with Hesphie. Once they came out he walked with her to the Wall, his arm tightly around her. He looked around before slipping behind the tapestry. Once on the wall, where the cat seemed quite at home Eric settled and pulled her into his lap. "We'll watch the sunset," he said gently, kissing her temple cutely.

Dominique was amazed when she saw Hesphie. The beast had been living at her home where Iris' mother was staying and seeing her there...well it amazed her. The two girls had picked out the cat together when they were younger and she hoped Iris wouldn't mind her borrowing the lovely dear. She wanted something to remind her everyday that she had to come back at some point. Once upon the wall Hesphie started jumping around, playing with the lingering snow. Dominique gasped slightly as she was pulled down onto his lap. Chuckling, she smiled and kissed his cheek. "Alright, that'll be lovely." She whispered as her eyes closed for a moment and she relaxed. When they opened again she noticed it was getting darker already, sunset wasn't that long off...and after that...well their travel was closing in.

Eric thought and thought about the travel. He had a few places in mind, and Micajah knew nothing about him. He didn't know Eric's family, nor the friends he didn't even have. Eric was in the clear. He just prayed her friends and family would not be tortured for any kind of information they wouldn't have. He smiled, watching Hesphie play about in the show. He made a few small snowballs with his hands and tossed them to the cat, chuckling a little. he watched the sky closely. It had to be about seven thirty or so by now. They had missed dinner but that was alright, Eric planned on making a stop by the kitchens before going to her common room anyway. "So, tonight. We'll leave from your common room or one of the dorm windows. You can fly better than anyone I know and I can hold onto Hesphie. Once at Gringotts I'll be able to purchase a flying beast of some kind and we'll take that instead. I hear Chimera's are on sale right now, and they're very protective of their owners." he was merely making light conversation of it, but these were things that indeed needed to be discussed.

Dominique chuckled at Hesphie, watching the cute beast play with the snow until she bat it too far and it fell off the ledge. By then either Eric or Dominique would toss her another one. "Chimera's are quite large though...and hard to tame, not to mention three mouths, three stomachs. Would we have the time to care for it? Griffins have lowered in price over the past few months and if we are sure not to get one too large we could move faster since they are rather agile." She felt weird talking about it so casually but what had to be done had to be done and she wanted to help make this as easy as possible.

Eric thought about it for a few moments. Then he smiled. "And given it's part lion it'll love Hesphie." He hugged her tightly. "Sounds great. Well get a Griffin. The good thing about them is that they can hold so much more than their body weight. How does that sound Hesphie?" he said playfully, tossing her another snowball. He held Dominique tightly as the sky darker and the sun set below the horizon.

Dominique smiled and nodded, cuddling into him as he held her tighter. The night chill was getting to her just a tad but she'd have to get use to it. "I'll bring us some blankets, It'll be a cold night and if its raining we can enchant one to stay above us and keep the rain out." She said as she watched the sunset begin to paint the sky. "Lest you have a better Idea, of course." She joked as a soft sigh escaped her. This is how they met back in October...the wall and the sunset. Its amazing how close people can get within a few months...and he had been gone for so long. She locked her arms around him and cuddled even closer. At least now she knew he wasn't going to disappear.

"Well, just my large umbrella. It'll keep all three of us dry, but blankets will still be much appreciated. The only thing left to think about now is... well, how are we going to get out of here unseen?" He had just now thought about that and it was something that now had him worried. They'd have to fly in one direction and change course drastically in order to not be tracked. he noticed her chill and held her closer, opening his cloak enough to wrap around her sides. "Hesphie come here," he said and the large cat came to warm her front.

Dominque grinned. "Not a problem at all." She said as she snuggled closer to him and laid her head on his shoulder. Hesphie laid on both of them, curling up to keep them both warm as she purred and started to fall asleep. "Leave that up to me, I already have a plan for that." She said giving him a mysterious smile and a gentle kiss on the cheek. Her hand slipped around him and she relaxed silently for a moment before she began to chuckle for no reason. When he looked at her she gave him an innocent look. "We aren't going to end up in the broom closet again are we?" she asked, chuckling a bit even though the thought had her blushing slightly.

Eric chuckled as well, and smiling playfully down at her he said, "Only if you want to." He grinned a little and kissed her nose. He pet Hesphie, scratching under her chin and behind her ears. "No," he said seriously, "We will have a decent place, I promise you that." He kissed her cheek and held her tightly, glancing up as the first few stars began winking down at them.

"Your promising me a lot and I'm promising you barely anything...I'm sorry I don't have anything worth wild to give you." She mumbled, giving him a sad little smile. She kissed his cheek and laid her head on his shoulder again, her eyes shining with the stars she gazed up at. "I promise I love you though..." she whispered as if that was the only thing she had. For the first time in her life she truly felt poor. Money had never meant anything to her, but friends and family did. Now she fell in love with Eric and...she felt so poor, like she had given all she had to her friends and family and had nothing left to offer him. It broke her heart.

Eric gave a somewhat harsh sigh. "That's enough," he told her gently, loving those eyes. "Dominique, you have no need to be sorry. Those eyes of yours are enough of a promise for me, love." Eric looked up at the sky for a few moments, but his eyes came back to hers. "You are beautiful, you know," she said with a gentle smile. "And it's not your Veela side, it's your inside. Dominique, the only thing I need from you is your love, and your cooperation. As long as I have that, we'll be fine. When I don't, it's time to let you come back..." He gave her a slightly sad smile. He hoped she didn't take that statement wrong, he wasn't being possessive with her. In truth he was going to cooperate with her just the same, things would be decided together. "I love you," he said softly.

A slow smile began to grow on her lips. It wasn't much at first but as he spoke it grew and grew. She shifted on his lap just slight, enough to give her the right height and area to reach his lips with hers when her head tilted up. The kiss was gentle, loving, but short. When she pulled away she still had that smile as she looked into his eyes. "I love you too." Her arms slipped over his shoulder and locked behind his neck as she gave him a tight, snuggling hug. "Thank you....for not just seeing the veela in me." she whispered as she basically refused to let go of him.

"You're most welcome, though no thanks is needed." He kissed her against gently, and short. "We should go get things ready," he told her kindly. He stood up with her, hugging her tightly. He walked with her until they reached her common room. "I'll be back at precisely two," he said, hugging her tightly again. He waited like usual for her to disappear and then he rushed off to his own common room to get ready.

"Oh fine." she said with a soft pout. She was reluctant to let this time pass but she needed to pack and get a little rest before they left. As they walked she held his hand and Hesphie kept at their heals. Once or twice she'd run off ahead and come back if there was a teacher or someone there or she'd just wait for them to catch up. When they finally got to her common room she turned to him and nodded. She gave him a tight, long hug, and sighed softly. "If I open this painting at 2 and your not here I'm going to send Hesphie after you!" She joked before kissing his cheek and slipping inside.
