Subject: Study of Ancient Runes Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:10 pm

The Study of Ancient Runes, commonly shortened to Ancient Runes, is an elective course at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, that can be taken by students third year and above. Ancient Runes is a mostly theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts of magic. The teacher is Viktor Lennald.

After dealing with Ash, and sending Andrew a notice, Desdemona returned to the castle. She began to roam the halls, just wishing to find a student being late to their dorms. By now, however, most children sneaking out had slipped back into their dorms-or into another- so no one besides Ash was wandering, and she stayed close enough to him that should he get caught she could run in. Then again, with the full moon coming up soon, no teach would question why he was out. Eventually she came across Viktor's room. Smirking she tried the nob, just for the hell of it, and was surprised to see it was unlocked. Slipping inside, she looked around. It was dark and even that surprised her. After wandering a bit she noticed he wasn't there. He must be with the babes. she though as she began to wander around the room. Eventually she made her way down the staircase that led to his chambers. She knocked, no answer, she tried the nob. It was unlocked as well. Now she had to give this an odd look. Unless he was asleep and waiting for her but still.... She opened it and noticed no one was in side. She went and sat on the bed as she thought things over. After a few minutes she concluded he had to be with the dragon babies. That being figured, she got up and closed his chamber door as she walked back to his class. She moved a few things on his desk and sat on the corner, her legs crossed and her back arched as she leaned backwards on a hand. Her head tilted to the side and she looked at something laying there, examining his latest finds.

Viktor had indeed disappeared. He had gone out enjoying his dragon form, something he didn't do often. He was out swimming, flying, and hunting for a while, dropping off food in the cave for his yearlings when they woke up. Then he was himself again, his human self, and walking back to the castle. He had a bouquet of hand picked deep red and dark blue drooping lilies. That loomed over smoothly, and bloomed facing out. In the center was a small collection of red, blue, black, and a few purple roses. He came to his classroom and grinned. The door was open a tiny bit, as though someone let it drift closed but it had stayed open enough to be touched and open. Viktor slid inside and smiled widely. "Done so soon?" he asked in a teasingly sarcastic way as he closed the door without looking from her. The gentle click signified he'd closed it all the way. he walked up to the desk and handed her the bouquet, kissing her gently. "Found these, thought you might like them. Hope they're dark enough for you," he said with a gentle chuckle, putting his files away for tomorrow's lesson.

Desdemona heard him coming but just continued to rummage through the things on his desk, most from the days past lesson. She wondered silently how his students felt about seeing Praxis kill someone. A smirk crossed her lips. Most of them didn't see it of course, and those who did most likely wouldn't remember besides in their nightmares. When he spoke she rolled her eyes and glanced at him, slightly surprised by the flowers in his hand. It had taken a few hours to be done, but then again most things she dealt with did take much longer so perhaps he had a right to be a smart ass. Eh, not so much. As he handed her the bouquet she couldn't help but smile slightly and return the kiss. Once he moved to put the files away she smelled them. "They're fine...I hate flowers though." She chuckled as she peeked over him from above the blossoms as she smelled them. "They die so quickly...it's normally a waste." She remembered the time Andrew had given her flowers and she threw them back at him. It made her chuckle as she played with the drooping petals. Sure her opinion was the same, but Viktor had a way of getting her to react a little differently to things.

"Ah but I hear they're a sign someone likes you," he said nonchalantly, with a boyish smirk. He swept through the room while he spoke to her, fixing desks and chairs and picking up papers here and there. "You don't have to keep them, I just thought they were funky. Found them in Napal." He smiled gently, but shrugged. It wouldn't hurt his feelings if she through them away.

She pulled out a purple one and held it out in front of her for a while, just staring at it as she set the others in her lap. She closed one eye and narrowed the other as she looked at it. At last she shook her head and grinned. "Too dark." She brought it to her lips and breathed over it. Within seconds the rose bloomed a little more and the colour drained slightly until it was a paler purple. She held it out in front of her again and grinned. "Perfect." It was now the exact colour of his hair. She slipped it behind her ear, ignoring the thorns, and let it sit against her still rainbow hair. "So do these mean you like me?" She chuckled and shook her head. "Teaching has kept you young."

He didn't look up at her until she asked that question. Then he stopped roaming about the room and smiled an innocent smile. He slowly walked up to her while she spoke and let out a small chuckled, his hands sliding from her knees up to her waist and holding her while he slid between her legs and kissed her. "I definitely means I like you," he said with a grin, kissing her again.

The desk being shorter than she thought made it so he was taller than her-more than normal at least. She smirked as he slid into her and chuckled when he replied. As his lips came down on hers she tilted her head up and kissed him back. The flowers shifted on her lap and nearly fell, teetering on the edge of her leg and the desk. At the same time her hand moved up his chest and lingered on his neck slightly, the other staying against him as her fingers curled around the fold in his suit-shirt. The rose in her hair shifted just slightly to brush against his cheek in the kiss.

Viktor kissed her, letting a little passion slip through and he smiled slightly at the feel of the rose against his cheek. His arms and hands slid up her back and he moved to press against her as they kissed, not really liking the space between them.

Desdemona chuckled against his lips as he moved closer to her. Tugging at his shirt slightly, she pulled him into her and used her hand against his neck to deepen the kiss slightly. After a while of kissing her hand moved to his face and just as she pulled her lips away her thumb moved over his slips softly, running down them smoothly to his chin as if to make the break happen before he sucked her in again. She didn't move away, however, but rather she just looked up into his eyes. "Enjoy your time out? Napal is rather far away." She raised her brow curiously, chuckling a bit as she kissed him again, but it was slow, celebrate, and could be broken to speak at any time.

[center]Viktor smiled. "I took on the full form, that's how I got there and back so quickly," he said with a slight chuckle. He let her have his lips again, slipping a hand into her hair. His other slid back down to the small of her back, holding her their against him. "Mmmm..." He sighed into her lips. She tasted so good, he grinned a little.[center]

Desdemona chuckled at his sigh and his words before it. She kissed him a bit longer before pulling away, though only slightly. Her breath, slightly warmed from the kiss, pressed against his lips as she looked up at him and grinned. "Sounds like a fun ride. Any reason for Nepal or did you just happen to land there?" She was in a good mood for some reason as her lips teased close to his it seemed she was being playful too. She kept her eyes on his though, even as her smirk turned into a slight smile.

"Mmm, I heard they had pretty sites to see," he said in a lax tone, grinning a little himself. He reached his lips out long enough to capture her bottom lip and suck on it a little before smirking. While he smirked he let her lips slip from between his teeth. "I saw they had pretty flower," he said with a shrug.

As he pulled away to speak again he left her want a kiss, her lips parted from his little act. A smirk crossed her lips instead though. As he spoke her hand moved up hist chest, where it had moved back to while they talked, and her nails ghosted over his neck. "Mhm...scare any helpless villagers?" grins a little as her head tilts just slightly, adding a tint to her eyes and making it so her breath fluttered against his lips. The shift had the rose slipping against her ear, the thorns poking at her ear. The petals brushed against him again as it twisted slightly.

Viktor smiled. He chuckled a little at her. "No, just went out for a leisurely flight." He grinned a little at her, she was cute for being so obsessed with being mean. For some reason he still found that enticing, and he thought himself a complete nut job for it. He didn't care though, and he let her have his lips again in a passionate kiss. His arms held her and his hands rested on her back as he stood completely against her, embracing her tightly while they kissed.

Pouts slightly at his answer. "Oh your a boring dragon." Chuckling, Desdemona shifts slightly so that she can sit straighter and kiss him better. She ignores how odd the feeling of his embrace is-like it is every time really for she is too use to the pain, not the kindness- and just leans into him slightly. When she feels something like a horn stabbing into her back she stops and pulls her lips from his as she turns her head slightly. Aero, holding the bouquet in his muzzle, sits on the desk and rubs his head against her back and hip. Chuckling, she takes the bouquet and kisses his forehead. "Thank you, Aero." He roars slightly and nuzzles her before hopping onto Viktor's chair and curling up as he watches the two-mainly Viktor.

Viktor chuckled and smiled. He watched Aero too for a minute before mumbling in his dragon tongue, Oh hush, you know you're still a sun to me. He gave him a small smile and returned his attention to Desdemona. "Would you like to sleep here with me tonight?" he asked her with a slight grin. Neither of them had a morning class as far as he knew, and her sneaking out would be fun tomorrow anyway.

Aero replied to Viktor with a low growl as his head itched toward Desdemona and his slit eyes gazed over her form. Eventually he just hopped back up on the table and curled up at her side, simply wanting to be close enough to touch her. At that question two things popped into her mind. Firstly, the fun of trying to sneak out of here in the morning without arising suspicion-which, naturally, was impossible to do in Hogwarts. Secondly-or more so secondly and thirdly- she thought about Lyric. The man was in her chambers and she had lent him her bed, meaning she hadn't been sleeping since the day he cornered her in the room. Resting a bit would be rather nice.... "For the fun of the game...why not." Smiling a little, she pulled the rose out from behind her ear, held it up to his head to make sure it was the same colour and then slipped it back into the bouquet that she then placed on the desk.

Viktor smiled. "Good, good." He helped her slide off the desk and, keeping his arm around her, he walked with her to the back of the office. He tapped the side of a bookcase and his quarters opened. "come on," he said, glancing back at Aero. Once they were all inside the wall closed and he gestured. "Make yourself comfortable,' he said gently as he went off to the bathroom connected. He changed into a loose pair of boxers and came back out, smiling innocently and slipping into bed.

Aero rested on her shoulders as he went off and she started to be nosy, as always. She looked at his books and relics, examining everything but touching nothing all the while. When he came back she arched a brow and chuckled at him. "Cute," she murmured as she looked around, curious. She was very much like an animal thrown in a new place, timid and curious at first but within moments she acted as if the place had been her home all along. Aero jumped over to a chair and curled up as Desdemona finally laid her eyes on him again. She looked down at herself and grinned. "This wont be very comfortable will it..." She didn't seem to care that Viktor--or Aero for that matter-- were in the room and looking at her as she pulled off the black pants she had on and the blue shirt, showing the black lingerie she wore beneath it. Putting her clothing on the bed's endboard for when she snuck out in the morning, Desdemona slowly slipped into the bed and gave him a slightly innocent smirk in return.

there were many rune stones and other things of intrigue in his room. He just sat back in the bed, watching her explore and change. He had rights to watch her change, and dammit he loved it. "Very nice," he said, referring to the black nightwear she had on. He grinned a little and slid against her, his hand crossing over her stomach to hold her as he lay his head in the crook of her neck. he kissed there. "glad you decided to stay with me."

Desdemona chuckled and mumbled a 'thank you' in response. When he moved closer to her she froze for a minute and just took a few seconds, mainly unnoticed like always since she was normally like this when they weren't exploding with passion, to get use to it before she relaxed as he came closer to her. The feeling of his kiss had a slight grin crossing her lips. "Better than spending the night alone any night." Aero roared and she couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm sorry love, I didn't mean anything by it." The little dragon made a noise and then sunk it's head against the chair. She blew it a small kiss and he snapped his muzzle at the air affectionately.

Viktor chuckled at the exchange. It was amusing to him, the way she was, but he loved it. That he could not deny. He also couldn't deny her statement. "I agree," he said with a smile. "Glad you could join us," he said to Aero, smiling calmly. He yawned deeply and snuggled against her. He knew that she hated falling asleep before him so he closed his eyes and let himself drift away, knowing -and hoping- that most likely he'd be up before her and get to see her in her innocent state.

As he slipped into dreamland she laid awake for a bit, thinking about a lot. At last she turned and looked at him before whispering with a playful sneer, "You're sneaky." she knew just what he wanted out of all this, that secret glimpse at her that only he got. Chuckling softly, she shifted and moved so she was comfortable against him. Before she closed her eyes she opened her arms for Aero, not wanting the dragon to be jealous of Victor-which he seemed to be. Aero curled up on the indent of her waist and hip, his head on her hip, and closed his eyes as he went to sleep quickly. She was the last to drift off but she felt all the calmer with two dragons with her, even if one was small and the other seemed wizard more than dragon.

When morning drew near Viktor opened his eyes slowly and with a smile. He caught sight of her innocent features and his smile widened. He caught her innocence once again. Viktor just lay there until she woke up as well, petting Aero affectionately and watching her gentle features. He watched her chest rise and fall gingerly as she breathed and her eyes resting closed. He loved seeing her like this just a much as he loved seeing her as she normally was.
