Hogwarts Lake

The Hogwarts Lake is a large body of water located to the south of the castle. It is about half a mile in diameter and the Hogwarts plumbing network drains into it. It is home to a Giant Squid, grindylows, and a colony of Merpeople. The lake was also used as the site of the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament. The Slytherin common room is beneath the lake, accessed through an entrance in the school dungeons. The Chamber of Secrets is also thought to be beneath the lake. At the beginning of the year, first years cross the lake in boats to get from Hogsmeade Station to the castle for the sorting ceremony. In the films, the lake is known as "The Black Lake."

Victoire made her way to the lake slowly, acting as if she was enjoying the scenery like always. She didn't sit though, fear of not being able to get back up kept her from it. She watched the water ripple in the breeze. Her hair was tied in two ponytails, both draping down in front of her shoulders. Her thick hair his her neck, which she'd covered elsewise as best she could. Her shirt, quarter cut sleeved and clinging to her form, hid the rest of her indiscretion. She simply sighed to herself gently, soft eyes looking over the lake. She thought about the night before, the shack, Ash, and all that had happened. Her mind swirled with wild images from the encounter and she blushed a little. Had she really gone that wild? Oh dear... She would have gasped at her own thoughts but it would have hurt too much. Places were sore where'd he'd bitten her and scratched her and more, but the rib was the most painful now, considering it was all she could focus on. She noticed Hrukjan and went to the wolf who was hidden by the trees surrounding the lake. She didn't look around like she normally did for Ash, doubting she'd see him for a while. Not to mention the full moon was tomorrow night, and she knew she wouldn't see him for three nights at least for that. Hello, she thought to the wolf kindly, laying a gentle hand on her muzzle. When Hrukjan went to heal her she moved out of reach and shook her head. No, I brought this upon myself... I need to deal with this one... I deserved this, she thought. Victoire didn't know if it was pitiful or admirable that she felt the way she did but she didn't care either. She liked the pain in some odd way, it reminded her of last night. It was a night she wasn't sure she'd want to forget, afraid she would not see him again...

The wolf appeared and sat there, watching her for a time until the veela walked over. Nodding her head, Hrukjan didn't heal her but watched her all the same. Do you hate your feelings now? Do you want freedom from him or are you still drawn to him; still want to be by his side and have him trust you? The wolf watched the veela as she had watched them both the night before. The passion they had was animalistic and dark, something that this frail girl wouldn't have acted on if it had been anyone else. Her pain pleased Ash and yet she disgusted him. Her pain pleased herself but what did she see in Ash? Had Hrukjan chosen correctly or should she break the ties with the girl now?

Victoire stared out onto the lake again, her hand still on Hrukjan's head gently. Finally, after a minute or two, she dropped her hand and sighed, looking at her. Yes. She was being honest, something she found she couldn't do often with the way she kept running into him if not called to him. It's true, Victoire would not be so rough with anyone else... She leaned against a tree, leaving the broken rib to face out, and she just watched the lake. She would see him again one way or the other... and if he only saw her when he wanted another repeat o last night she would go to him for it. She would be his lover and only his lover until he tossed her aside completely. She decided this as she stared off into the distance.

Hrukjan looked over the girl before whining and pushing her nose against Victoire's hip. Come then...if you want him to trust you then you must help him...do you want to help him? You know what he is, you've thought about it since you met him, this is the time he needs someone other than me, will you help him? The wolf thought and waited for the reply. Regardless of her answer, Hrukjan started to slip away and toward the forest. If the veela followed her then that was her choice, if not Ash needed her anyway.

Victoire did not even think about it. She walked as quickly as she could, her normal quick stride, not allowing the air to even know of her pain. she followed Hrukjan, knowing her suspicions were true now. she would help him, and she would let him destroy her if it was what he wanted, when he wasn't under the curse of the full moon anyway. May I ask where we're going? she thought after a moment, simply curious and trying to focus on something other than her aches.

Hrukjan ignored her order not to heal her. If the girl was going to help Ash then she needed that rib healed at least. After that she laid down, motioning for the girl to get on her. Once she was there the wolf took off, running at blinding fears. To my master's home. He's already there and destroying things again, if we don't get there soon he'll make the den crumble around him. And with that the two left the Hogwarts grounds once again.

Hunter walked around the grounds. She sighed softly, it was just past sunset, she looked up at the sky, a half moon, It wouldn't be long now, maybe a week at the most, she sighed to herself again before kicking a stone into the water. she was sad, she wanted someone to talk to, to be with, she had spent five years at hogwarts alone, the only person who understands her is her father, she almost wanted to infect someone just so they could share her pain. this was a selfish thought but ocassionally it crossed her mind.

Albus sat in front of the lake with a muggle looking notebook on his lap and a quill in his hand. He didn't care much at the oddness of this but this was his personal notepad that hid all that was written from other's views. A story from his mother gave him the idea. It was wonderful, at least to him. If anyone else knew about his work, his secret little study, he'd get in trouble for sure. But for now he was just hiding from Fred before the loon started going bonkers on him again for skipping work.

Hunter saw a boy sat by the lake, he looked like one of the boys from the year above her, but she wasn't really sure. She wished she knew people better but she just couldn't.
she walked towards the edge of the lake, slipping of her shoes and sitting, her feet trailing in the icy water.

Albus heard something slip into the water and looked up, pushing back his messy hair and slipping his glasses back up his nose. When he saw Hunter his head tilted to the side. His hand flipped the page and he started writing down a detailed description of the girl without even looking down. This was what he did. "Hello." He murmured after a while, wanting to find out more about her before he continued his study.

she looked around when she heard a noise, the shock of it almost making her fall into the lake.
"Erm.... are you .... talking... to ....erm... me?" she asked, looking at the boy. he might be the potter boy, well one of them, she wasn't sure.

"Yes." He said in a serious, business tone. Albus worked with Fred, he designed pranks and items for the joke shop, but when he was doing this job he was very serious. There was no fooling in this job because if he got one thing wrong he could calculate everything wrong.

"erm... Hi then" She said, he sounded so serious. It was quite intimidating, it was surprising how much everyday things intimidated her seeing as though she was one of the most intimidating thing in the entire school once a month.

He looked her over before continuing writing, now noting her personality, all without looking at his paper. "What's your name?" It was like he was conducting an interview, and it was kind of creepy how unwavering he was. It didn't matter to him, though, no Albus, Al, didn't care if he was creeping her out or not.

"Hunter" she said quietly, "Why all the questions?" she asked back nervously, he was a strange boy, he made her fel a bit uncomfortable, she couldn't help but wonder wether he was like this with everyone

"That was only one question." He said and at that moment he smiled slightly at her. "Your name's pretty, I'm Albus." He got up and walked over to her, his notebook floating at his hand so he could keep writing, and when he was near enough he held out his arm to shake. "Nice to meet you."

she blushed slightly when he corrected her, but quickly made it go away.
"Thank you" she never got compliments of anyone.
she shook his hand,
"Nice to meet you too"
she was glad he seemed more normal now, but the fact that he was writing so much made her feel a little uneasy.
she shivered slightly, pulling her feet out of the water. the colour had started to drain from her feet due to the cold.

Albus shook her hand before taking it back. "Mind if I sit with you? It's rather lonely around here if you have no one to talk to." He silently enchanted his quill to keep writing as he laid the notebook down behind him so she couldn't see the quill moving. It was connected to his mind and anything he thought to note of her in his mind would be written.

"no its fine" she said gently rubbing her feet to get her blood pumping again. she noticed him put the notebook down, she sighed glad she didn't have to worry about it anymore.
"im used to being alone out here" she added softly.

He sat down and looked at her with a smile. "I am too but it's nice to get someone to talk to now and then. Are you alright?" He said motioning to her feet. Taking out his wand, he used a silent spell, learned only to sixth years and up, toward her feet to warm them.

she smiled as he warmed her feet. "thats nice, thank you" she smiled kindly at him.
she wondered to herself why he was so alone all the time.

"That's good. So what house are you in?" He asked with a kind grin as he rubbed the back of his head. The quill kept going being him, out of site. "I'm a Slytherin." He added shortly after.

"I'm in ravenclaw" She said, she was surprised he was in slytherin, she had presumed all the potters were gryffindors,
"well you seem to be the nicest slytherin ive met so far" She smiled kindly, "you havent played throw shit at the quiet girl yet"

"We're not all mean. Some of us just like living up to the old reputation. People auto think we're cruel but most of us are not." He smiled and ran his hand through his messy hair. His glasses had slipped down his nose slightly again and he pushed them up quickly.
