Subject: Great Hall [First Floor] Sun Sep 26, 2010 9:45 am

The Great Hall in Hogwarts Castle is the main gathering area in the school. Students eat their meals, receive daily owl post, and have certain special events here. The Great Hall is a large hall that can easily hold all of the schools students, staff, and guests. It has tall walls that reach up to the ceiling, which is covered with candles and enchanted to look like the sky above. At the front of the hall, is the staff table, which is designed to house the entire Hogwarts staff. The highlight of the table is the throne-like chair in the centre of the table where the current Headmaster or Headmistress sits. To the left of the table is a door which leads down a spiral staircase to the Trophy Room.

Other Uses
Welcome Feast
The Welcoming Feast is a traditional part of the school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, held in the Great Hall. Held on the first night following the arrival of the students on the Hogwarts Express, the Welcoming Feast is notable for including the Sorting of all new students into their houses.
Dueling Club
A Duelling Club was started by Professor Lockhart when the Chamber of Secrets was opened, during the 1992–1993 school year. He was given permission to teach students how to duel, in an attempt to help them learn to protect themselves. Lockhart was joined by Professor Snape, who worked as his assistant.
Halloween Feast
The Halloween Feast at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry occurs on the 31st October every year. Usually the Halloween Feast is festooned with sweets-filled pumpkins, bats, orange streamers, water snakes and all sorts of Halloween-related decorations. There is usually some entertainment at the end, this may be by the Hogwarts Ghosts who pop out of the walls and do formation gliding. It's an highly anticipated feast which most Hogwarts students look forward to every year.
Yule Ball
The Yule Ball is a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament, though not regularly held at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is a formal dance held on Christmas night of a tournament year, and is opened by the tournament champions and their partners. At Hogwarts, where the Yule Ball was held in 1994, only students of fourth year or above were permitted to attend, though younger students could also go if an older student invited them to accompany them. The ball begins at 8:00 p.m. and ends at midnight.
Christmas Feast
The Christmas feast is held on Christmas Day. It is attended by the teachers and any students that have chosen to remain at Hogwarts over the Christmas Holidays. The feast is prepared by the House-elves in the kitchens, and consisted of a hundred fat, roast turkeys, mountains of roast and boiled potatoes, platters of fat chipolatas, tureens of buttered peas, silver boats of thick, rich gravy and cranberry sauce. For desert flaming Christmas puddings were served, with silver sickles hidden within the pudding.
Apparation Lessons
Apparition is an optional twelve-week class offered at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for, as its name suggests, learning how to Apparate. The class begins shortly after the Christmas Holidays and is offered to students who are seventeen, or who will turn seventeen during the school year, and costs twelve Galleons. It was taught by Ministry of Magic employee Wilkie Twycross in 1997.
O.W.L.s & N.E.W.T.s
An O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level) is a subject-specific test taken during Hogwarts students' Fifth year, administrated by the Wizarding Examinations Authority. The score made by a student on a particular O.W.L. determines whether or not he or she will be allowed to continue taking that subject in subsequent school years. During these examinations a giant clock face and a huge swinging pendulum are placed at the far end of the hall in order for students and examiners to keep an eye on the time. N.E.W.T.s (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests) are subject-specific exams that seventh-year wizards and witches at Hogwarts take to help place them in a position at the Ministry of Magic. As not all wizards pass or even take the N.E.W.T.s, they can find other jobs using their O.W.L. results.
End of Year Feast[/b]
The End-of-Term Feast (or Leaving Feast) is a traditional part of the School Year at Hogwarts, held in the Great Hall. It occurs on the last night of the term; the Feast is notable for including the awarding of the House Cup to the house with the highest points.

Hermione Jean Granger had always had bushy hair... until now. She took a deep breath before stepping into the Great Hall, forcing herself to ignore any and all looks she got. For Hermione's hair, normally bushy and frizzy, fell over her shoulders in soft curls. She couldn't get it to go straight, but this looked wonderful anyway. Her hazel eyes now had a thin but bold layer of eye liner rimming them, and her clothes fit her properly, showing just how pretty she truly was. Her glasses were gone, Hermione having given in to trying contacts. She made her way slowly to her own table, though Ron and Harry were nowhere in sight. She supposed it was a good thing she hadn't told them what she was going to do. She supposed Malfoy's comments to her the day before had triggered this but in truth Hermione was fed up with being ugly. It was time she started trying to look nice and she was now determined to do so. At the very least it may get Draco off her back... maybe.

Malfoy was sitting at his table eating a bit of toast when his eye caught that soft curl. He didn't choke, or bring any attention to it other than to watch her walk in. Again a cruel sneer. She wasn't even comfortable in her own skin and he saw that very clearly. The way she walked, timid and fearful, it made him want to get up and tear her dress like she stole it from ugly step sisters. Cinderella trying to be her own fairy godmother. Hah. Pathetic. He went back to his toast and ignored her.

Hermione paid no attention to anyone. She shifted here and there, uncomfortable in her clothes. She ate silently, still wondering where her friends were. As she did she wondered if she could ever get used to this... She opened a book she'd brought, reading when she was finished eating. After some time she got tired of waiting for her friends to come and she stood from the table, using her finger to hold her place and tucking the book securely under her arm. She was on her way out when stopped by a Hufflepuff boy, a year below her. He had spoken low and only to her, but she wasn't so secretive. She blushed a deep pink but shook her head a little.

"I- I'm sorry, no." she stuttered, seeming a little offended and quite confused. She turned from the boy and left without a word, her feet taking her straight to her sanctuary, the LIbrary.

Malfoy watched her slightly until a Hufflepuff boy walked pass. He grabbed the boy's robes and pulled him over. "You, go over to that girl there, not her the one with the bloody book, yes her. Go to her when she stands and whisper obseen things to her. If she agrees you can have her but I'll give you twenty gold for it if you do." The boy agreed quickly before he was given the gold. As Malfoy watched Hermione run out he couldn't help but laugh hauntingly before continuing to eat.

Harry made his way into the Great Hall, wondering where his favorite girl was. He hadn't seen her this morning, and he didn't see her here. Oh well, he knew shed turn up. She was a wild one at heart and that's what he loved about her. With a small sigh, Harry sat at the Gryffindor table alone and began to wonder where Hermione was as well. He hadn't seen much of her these past few days, since the Christmas Ball, and classes were about to start today. They had exchanged Christmas presents of course, but not long after that she'd vanished "to the library to catch upon homework". Harry thought that was a bit odd, she usually had it all done before break even officially started. He shook loose his thoughts and began eating, waiting for Ron to turn up. Unless he was busy, Harry thought with a smirk and he shook his head and spread jam on his toast.

Angelina sat at the table with her goblet hovering in her hand over a pad of parchment on her lap. She was going over plans for the next game, which was coming up the following weekend, as she hurried to eat her food. Having been worrying about so much lately, she didn't even notice it was Valentine's day. She and the twins had kept it semi secret about their relationship. And by semi that meant they didn't go out shouting to the world that they were all together but they didn't hide it either. Everyone was just too...scared (?) To ask if they were together. Scared might not have been the right term but even still, no one brought it up and she had no reason to brag about it. She was doing a good job at selling the items for the twins throughout the school and she had delivered her last batch the night before. Today she was suppose to go over for lunch but they told her they'd meet her at Hogwarts instead. It was odd, but she didn't mind, they were more than welcome to come visit her at any time.

When she noticed someone sit across from her she looked up. "Ello 'Arry." she said with a slight smile. She turned a piece of parchment over to him. "Your future captain, what do you think of this play? Believe our troops can do it?"

Harry walked into the Great Hall alone this morning. Ginny hadn't woke yet, and Hermione had... well, Harry wasn't quite sure exactly what she'd been up to, but lately he'd noticed her sneaking off at night. Where she'd been going he wasn't sure. He was usually just laying on the couch with Ginny when she left to study, and sitting there by himself dealing with his insomnia when she tried to sneak back in. Her excuses were that she was studying and fell asleep, sneaking off for a midnight snack, and that she was outside and had to sneak back in because of one reason or another ["Harry, you know with exams close I've got to study!" she'd said to him obviously.] He was almost sure she was up to something, but he supposed it didn't matter anyway.

Harry walked to the table and sat across from Angelina. Their practice schedule hadn't changed much since Oliver made her captain, as thy both had such a love for the sport. But he found lately he had much passion for it as well, and was all too interested to see the play she was showing him. "I don't think Creevey can, but the rest of us should be just fine. You forget, Collin's still a bit wobbly when a bludger's coming his way and that play needs precision. But I love it," he told her with a wonky grin. "I know I can do it," he added. He wasn't worried about most of them. "Hey, Angelina, can I ask you a question?" He really wanted to know if the rumors were true, but he didn't want to be rude. "Okay, its going to sound... well, rude probably, and stupid, but... are you dating... the twins?" he asked his question slowly, not really sure how he that was going to go. When she answered him he smiled though. "Well good. Next question, are they treating you alight?" he asked. Truthfully, he looked at Angelina as a friend and wanted to be sure those twins weren't being asses. He gave her a nod afterward but Hermione came in and he just stopped talking about it. "Ginny up yet?" he asked as she sat beside him.

Hermione came into the Great Hall, fixing her hair, and tugging her shirt down. Her eyes scanned the room as she tried very hard to calm her breathing. Her meetings with Draco were becoming a little more frequent as of late, his apparent need to be satisfied -and to satisfy, she couldn't leave that out- seemed to be more often. She had just come from a secret place, but she wouldn't tell anyone else that of course. She slid into a seat, fixing her tie. "Thought I was going to miss breakfast," she chuckled nervously. She pulled a few things onto her plate and looked around the room unnoticed as she did. "Yes, she's up. Told me to tell you she'll be down." she told him, smiling. She'd been doing that a little more lately, but she just couldn't figure out why really...

Selena slipped into the Great Hall, happily in Ron's arm. She kissed him gently and went to her table, whether or not he followed was let up to him, but she didn't mind either way. She sat directly across from Draco, giving him a small smile as she pulled a goblet over and poured some pumpkin juice into it. She pulled a small bowl over to her and began filling it with sweet, juicy fruits of all kinds. "Ready or your game?" she asked Draco casually, smiling over at him while she spoke. "You're going to loose," she teased, scrunching her nose at him playfully, and biting into a piece of starfruit, letting her tongue slip from her mouth to glide coyly across her lips. She made sure to get all the juice before grinning a little.

Frowning, she nodded and took the plans back, making some changes with the team in mind. She was a strick captain so she didn't change much. She'd drill the play into their heads if she had to. When he asked the question she didn't even pause in what she was doing. "Yep." she dipped the quill in some ink before he continued. Chuckling slightly, she thought that over. Of course she was treated wonderfully by the two, even if they ran her ragged. "Yes of course." she fell silent on the subject as well when Hermione joined them. Looking up at the girl, she frowned slightly. Angelina was a stickler for detail and she saw something was up right away but went back to her plans, pushing it away as none of her business.

Malfoy had gotten in about ten minutes before Hermione and so was sitting, relaxed, in his spot in the center of his table. His goonies sitting on either side of him. He sneered at Selena and seemed unaffected by her teasing as he took an apple and munched on it. "Yeah we'll see. It's not till tomorrow anyway, they rescheduled because of bloody valentines day." he rolled his eyes but did his part to avoid the fly cupids in the air. It was early, they weren't after anyone just yet. He eyed Ron and smirked. The wizard was becoming one of them more and more slowly and soon he'd have two ways to Potter, wouldn't the Dark Lord be pleased.

Ron walked in whispering teasing things to Selena. As of late he had begun walking down to her dorm and waiting for her, at first he hid from the other Slytherins but by now he was use to them. He even knew a few of them. Holding her close, he sat with her across from Draco and ignored her teasing as well so he didn't steal her away too early. He ate his normal Potpie as they talked. His game was a week and a half away so he wasn't as worried, though he knew Angelina would drill them all soon enough. Speak of the devil, he felt eyes burning holes into his back in the way that only Angelina could do. Peeking back, he gave them all a nervous wave.

Harry turned around and looked at Ron. He gave him a small nod, but turned back away soon after. He didn't like the fact that he was hanging around a bunch of blood Slytherins... and Malfoy!?! Harry was immensely loosing trust in his friend and he really didn't like it. "You don't think he's telling them our plays, do you?" he asked both of the girls as he face them and his food again.

Hermione shrugged. "I really don't think so, Harry. Ronald may be a lot of things, but I doubt a double-crosser's one of them." Hermione sipped her drink. She and Ron had been getting along almost as good as normal as of late, both accepting the choices the other was making. "Besides, you'll still be able o beat Slytherin, you're much faster than Draco." She felt a little bad saying that, but she had to keep her front up and she knew it. She too gave Ron a normal wave and a small friendly smile. She turned back to her food brightly. "I woke up late this morning... I hate waking p late, throws my whole day off," she muttered to herself, though it was a lie. She'd gotten up extra early to meet with Draco, Merlin their sessions were sometimes quick as one could blink, and sometimes longer than one could imagine. Her mind was in constant whirl the way he called on her, but she couldn't say she minded. She'd even started looking a bit beer, without spells. She'd started pulling her hair up and away from her face, painting her nails, and even wearing earrings and a little eye liner. She'd tried the lipstick but that hadn't gone over well... the mess was horrible, but a simple lip gloss had gotten a good reaction so far. She even had a few other boys from other houses approach her here and there. She had blushed every time but told them 'no' of course.

Selena sat content eating her fruits. She didn't really talk much, just ate and leaned on Ron contentedly. Looking around the room she took in the V-day decorations and whatnot. "This place looks bloody awful," she said, more to herself than anyone else at the table. "Valentines Day is so overrated," she said, but she kissed Ron's cheek and went back to her fruit.

"Agreed. Here's an idea, lets capture the bloody cupids and pluck out their wings." he smirked as he watched one float over Selena and Ron's head before zipping off at the look on his face. He finished his apple and threw the core behind his shoulder, hitting a hufflepuff in the head. He ignored the 'ow' and such as he reached out and grabbed some bacon. "Bet they would squeal like pigs." he murmured. He didn't even look at the Gryffindor table unless he had to, which he didn't. Hermione could gaze at him if she wished, she could wave, she could call out to him, he would ignore her or laugh at her. Nothing had changed other than she did as she had no choice but to. Even if she didn't like his sessions, she couldn't just stop them unless she had a death wish anyway.

Ron laughed slightly and kissed her temple. "Never been big on Valentines day...too frilly..." he grimaced a bit as he looked around, seeing how frilly the whole room seemed. He had seen the cold look Angelina had given him and it made him swallow harshly. She was going to kill him later, he was sure of it. Rubbing the back of his neck, he shook his head at Malfoy. "You've got issues." He grinned and laughed a bit, the air still calm and playful as they all joked around. "Why don't you just turn them into balloons and pop them." he said, rolling his eyes. He didn't think anyone would take him seriously but then again he didn't notice how much like a Slytherin he was beginning to act.

Angelina didn't wave but she did give him a peircing stare. When Harry spoke she looked at him. "If he is I'll deal with him, but truthfully I've never known a Weaslsey to be a sell out, no matter how much they let their pants stear them around." She smirked slightly, knowing that they could take her statement in a lot of ways. Angelina had known most of the Weaslesy and had been around them her whole life, whether they thought she meant that or not was on them not her. She went back to her plans, ignoring the others slightly. She was a bit too oblivious for a Cupid landed on her shoulder and she didn't even notice it as it flew away, bored.

Selena laughed. She was still laughing as Ron spoke. "I thought plucking their wings was a wonderful idea!" she said brightly, giving Draco a smile. He was her best friend... and would be in Ron's place if they weren't so alike. But no, Selena knew as much as she wanted it, it couldn't be so. They would kill each other quickly. She smirked when Ron mentioned popping the cupids, hugged him, and kissed him. "See, you're almost a Slytherin," she said coyly, smirking and turning back to her fruit. She glanced up at Draco through her lashes, giving him a gentle but barely noticeable grin. They almost had him...

Harry grinned at Angelina's comment, and caught her eye but only for a second. That look, paired with that comment, answered a lot of questions for Harry. So she was sleeping with them. Both. Harry shook the thought from his head, Ginny wouldn't like him thinking about that. And honestly, Harry didn't like the thought anyway, it was a bit too wild for him... "Are you ready for exams already, Hermione?" he asked, knowing Angelina was lost in her plans.

Hermione shrugged. "Been ready for months," she told him. Then she gave him a stern look. "And you should be too, but Merlin knows you're not." She rolled her eyes as Harry turned to his food now. "I'll make you a study sheet or something," she mumbled, eating her breakfast. "Ginny should be down sometime soon," she said, trying to keep the mood upbeat. She watched the cupid fly away and sighed. Viktor was supposed to come see her, but she doubted he would... and even if he did she wasn't sure if she could face him.

Ginny walked in as if on cue and on her arm was Viktor who she was talking to adimitly. When she saw the others she ran, dragging him along, to them. "Look who I found in the Enterence hall!" She laughed as she moved to sit next to Harry. Her eyes fell on Angelina and she looked her over, as if expecting something different. She had been doing that since the Winter ball but nothing seemed different. Other than, of course, she was wearing her coat inside. "Angelina, are you cold?"

Viktor laughed at being pulled around and sat next to Hermione, grinning. "I told you i vould come see you." she said, moving to kiss her cheek. His arm moved around her and he looked around. He saw Malfoy and glared. "He 'as not been bothering you I 'ope." He said dangerously, as if hew wanted a reason to walk over to the boy and bash his head in. He noticed Ron and his brown furrowed. He knew the boy didn't like him, but he was still surprised to see him away from the others.

Angelina almost didn't hear her. She looked up and then down at herself. "Oh, didn't notice I had this on..." she shrugged and took off the coat, showing a black sweater that clung to her a little too well. She also didn't seem to notice that as she went back to her plans. She at one point took a quill between her teeth and then gathered her hair, twisted it in a bun, and stabbed the quill through it to keep it together and out of her way as she went back to the plans for the next game.

Malfoy smirked, nodding. "That sounds like fun." he took his wand out and started doing that to the foolish cupids that hung around. When they were balloons he took to zapping them. When they exploded different things would fall. Caffettee, candy, hearts, glitter. He started popping them over people's heads. He noticed Viktor out of the corner of his eye and he followed him until he was by Hermione. He showed no reaction, however, as he went back to playing with the cupids.

"I wasn't being serious." he said but he couldn't help but laugh. He looked at Selena and gave her a warning look. "I'm not as bad as you lot." he grinned and kissed her before she could argue and make him feel any worse than he already was starting to. He didn't want to act like a Slytherin and be a blood traitor to his whole family rather than the wizarding world.

Harry was very happy to see Ginny, and he hugged and kissed her. "Happy Valentines Day," he whispered in her ear as if it were a secret. A cupid flew over to them, but flew off as he embraced her, seeing there was nothing it could do. "I've got you something, but I'll give it to you later," he told her, finishing his breakfast.

Hermione heard Ginny coming, but was utterly surprised when Viktor sat down. She jumped, squeaked a little, but threw her arms around his neck. She was happy to see him, forgetting for a moment what had been happening since shortly after Christmas. However as he spoke of him her heart hit the pit of her stomach. She forced herself to act like normal but she felt bad for Viktor at the same time. Of course he'd been the first to have her, so it's not as if he'd know, but that only made her feel worse. She pushed her food away claiming she was much too excited to eat. "No, no. He hasn't really bothered with me," she told him waving her hand a little. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming," she told Viktor, laying her head in the crook of his neck.

Selena laughed too, about to argue with him. But his lips on hers stopped her want to argue and she slipped her arms around her neck, draping them slightly between his shoulder blades. She grinned into the kiss, running her tongue along his bottom lip before pulling away and continuing to grin while she finished her fruit. She watched Draco watch Krum and her grin turned into a teasing one. "What's the matter Draco? Don't like other hands on your pet?" She spoke very low, leaning forward on the table to give him a playful smirk.

Angelina looked at all the love and then started to look around the room. She paused for a minute before she saw a cupid fly past and aim an arrow at her. Holding up her quill, she dodged an arrow with a sigh. "Bloody valentine day...always bothersome." she acted like she did every year, brooding and doing her best to ignore or avoid the cupids. Unless someone knew she was dating the twins, they'd think she was alone. In fact, a few boys came over and asked if they could spend the day with her to 'help' her with the cupids. She declined all of them as she looked over the plans for the next game again, getting lost in her work before she started thinking about how she actually had a valentine this year, or two to be exact.

Ginny smiled and snuggled to Harry, feeling blessed to be there. She kissed his cheek and smiled. She even waved at a cupid that passed before she giggled at his whispering. "I have a gift for you too, but you'll just have to wait till later." she moved and kissed his lips softly, cuddling to him and hugging him. This was their first valentines day as a couple and she was over joyed.

Viktor smiled. "Good to know, I vill not let him near you while I am here, I promise you that." he kissed her swiftly and ran his fingers through her hair. "Of course I vould be here, I could not leave you to the cupid arrows could I?" He rubbed her arms and held her close. "You look vonderful, by the way, Hermione." He kissed her forehead and took a goblet, taking a drink. He looked rather tired, as if he had traveled all night.

Ron looked over and for once didn't glare at Viktor. He chuckled at Selena's teasing. And gave Malfoy a wonky gaze. "Not like they'll last long anyway." Ron shrugs and eats some bacon, ignoring the Gyffindor table for now. He holds Selena close when she moves back again and rubs her side, tickling her slightly and smirking at her with a side glance.

Malfoy glared at Selena but smirked his own coy smirk. "Oh, I don't care about that fool. He's too far away to be of any importance to me. Let him get his day." He sat back and drank some butterbeer. "Besides, not like anyone else is going to treat her to this putrid day." he smirked and blew up another cupid.

Harry smiled. "You didn't have to get me anything," he said, but he still smiled anyway. He wanted nothing more than to steal her away, but he couldn't right now and he knew it. He leaned into her ear again and whispered something else. "I want to take you somewhere. Just you and me," and he kissed her cheek. He pretended e didn't see her reaction, but he grinned a little and finished his food. He sipped his juice slowly, not really in a hurry this morning.

Hermione blushed a little. "Thank you," she said softly at his compliment. "I'm glad you like it." She kissed his cheek and sipped her drink. "You look tired, Viktor. Perhaps you should rest for a little while," she said, giving him a worried gaze. She didn't want him to get sick or anything. "I'm sure I can defend myself against them for a little while. You deserve a nap, she said with a gentle smile.

Selena gave Draco a wondering gaze. She briefly wondered if he would have treated her had they tried at a relationship... But that thought drifted away as she was tickled and squeezed by Ron She squirmed in a way that pulled her shirt up a little but she didn't seem to notice. She finished her last bite of fruit and grinned at Ron. "I still got you something," she said coyly. "Both of you. My two favorite boys." Ron knew by now that Selena and Draco were close, and so she hoped he wouldn't get too jealous. She leaned into his ear anyway and whispered, "You have something better, I promise." She nipped his earlobe and smirked a little.

Ron laughed slightly. He was okay with Selena being friends with Malfoy, but that didn't mean he wasn't possessive. Hell no. He hated the fact that she slipped into the dorm with Malfoy and he had to leave for his own. It enraged him. But he dealt with it, for now. Smirking, he nipped at her neck. "I got you something too," he murmured. Sure he wasn't the best guy around but least he could do would be to get her something for the day she seemed to hate. He chuckled at that thought and tickled her slightly again.

"Thanks, I didn't get you anything and don't plan on it." He said without even an ounce of sorrow in it. He didn't care. He didn't do gifts, unless he was getting them, anyway. Taking his drink, he sipped it and looked around. His father's owl appeared as the mail started and he got a giant owl carrying a box of chocolates and treats from his mother. Wonderful, gifts already. Other owls, local ones, came with treats from girls throughout the room. He smirked as he slowly became surrounded with treats.

Angelina slowly forgot about the others around and started going through all her plans, fixing things here and there as she once again zoned out.

Ginny smiled and blushed just slightly. She wanted to disappear with him too and as she moved to cuddle a little closer she kissed his cheek. Ginny was too much of a good girl to tease him, however, so she just sat there innocently. She ate a bit, drinking a bit of pumpkin juice to clear her throat. She had another slight cold but it wasn't as bad as the last one and she was already getting over it. She was mad that she had been getting sick so often, however.

Viktor shook his head. "No, I shall rest tonight, today is for you." he smiled and ran his fingers through her hair. "Please eat, I do not want you to veel weak later." he smiled and looked up as the owls came out to give everyone the mail. The daily prophet fell in front of her and he grabbed her goblet before it fell into her drink.

Hermione lifted the prophet, giving Viktor a gentle smile. She read a few pages before she pulled her food over to her and forced herself to eat. His niceness to her was only making things worse inside her head, but she refused to let it show. She figured he had something planned, he usually did, but his being there was enough of a gift.

Harry finished his food quickly. "The only thing that kind of sucks if Snape's refusal to push his class off... we still have to go. And worse than that it's with the Slytherins... and it's this morning..." Harry seemed o get more and more depressed as he continued to speak. He even groaned a little and sighed deeply.

Hermione swallowed unnoticed, though nothing was in her mouth. Viktor wouldn't be able to attend the class with them... Merlin, she was praying that nothing happened...

"It's a good thing I didn't get you sweets... and I didn't expect anything from you anyway, you never get me anything," Selena said, chuckling a little. She didn't need gifts, she didn't care about gifts. But she liked buying them for others, she had to say. She usually hated the things people got her anyway so when Ron said he had something for her she smiled, but thought about how she was going to pretend she liked whatever it was. An owl came in dropping a Daily Prophet in front of her and she picked it up to read it. "You'll like my gift better than all that crap anyway," she said smugly, turning the page. "And you," she said, jumping at Ron's fidgeting fingers on her, "Aren't going to get yours if you keep it up." She laughed though, and slapped him playfully with the paper. With a glance at the clock she sighed happily. "We have potions in like... fifteen minutes," she said happily.

Ron stopped and rolled his eyes. He had a feeling Selena didn't like gifts just from the way she acted but he had a good feeling she'd like what he got her. It wasn't something really...physical... then again it was very physical. He grinned, just waiting for the moment when he could tease her would come. When she mentioned Potions he laughed. "Want to get going then?" He said, noticing she was done eating.

"Lets go." he answered for her as he stood. The others around him stood as well and he started to leave. If they followed or not was on them but he moved swiftly to the dungeon, wanting to talk to Snape anyway.

"Have fun with that." She said as she looked up again, surprising them by showing she was still listening. "Hermione why don't you show Krum to the dorm, he could sleep while your in class." She looked at Ginny and grinned. "You should go get rest too, your sick again." She looked back at her plans as if she had never spoken.

Ginny stared at her for a second before she chuckled. "Well I don't have potions today and your class is two hours long." she leaned forward and kissed him. "mind if I take a nap? you can come wake me up when your out." she snuggled to him and kissed his cheek but couldn't help wondering what Angelina was going to do the rest of the day. She hoped it wasn't going over those papers.

[center]Hermione gave Angelina and Viktor a gentle smile. "I can do that." She got up with him and walked out of the hall, letting him put his arm wherever and leaning against him slightly. They passed Malfoy, Selena, Ron, and the cronies on their way out, but Hermione completely ignored them as usual. She walked ahead of them, their paths differing, and walked quickly with Viktor. "I'm sorry to rush you," she said giving him an apologetic look. "But if I'm late Snape'll have my head on a platter...

"Nap away," Harry told her with another kiss. "But you better go if you want to go with Hermione, she's almost out already." He chuckled a little, Hermione was almost out of the hall when he sad this. he watched her go, but didn't get up yet. "So let's see what you've got now?" he said to Angelina with a smile. He knew she wouldn't want to show the world her plans, but he wanted to see what she had now. He was just as into quidditch as Oliver and Angelina.
