The Quad [Ground Floor]

The Quad (also known as the Paved Courtyard) is a courtyard located on the Hogwarts Castle exterior area. In 1996, one of the Weasley twin's Portable Swamps was released here. Gobstones players usually come into this courtyard to play "Snake Pit". It is home to a Talking Gargoyle. The Fourth Floor corridors pass right next to this courtyard. During the 1996–1997 school year, the Slytherin Duelling Club was based here.

"No no no, Alestra didn't go to Russia, that was Alec! Your getting everyone confused!" Lysander argued as he and his brother debated over one of their old stories again. As he spoke the young man went and sat down on a statue's stand, relaxing against the feet of a beast and petting it as if it were real, which it replied with a purr as if it were.

"Fine! We'll see who's right, just wait until Scorpius gets here, I'll get him to prove to you it was Alec!" Laughing, Lorcan went and sat on a different statue and stuck his tongue out at his brother. The girls were still with them after their day of running around and the group had decided to wait for Scorpius and Iris in the Quad since they knew the two would walk past here to get to the tower.

Rose chuckled, shaking her head at the two of them arguing again. She rolled her eyes and sat against the gargoyle Lysander was beside.

The gargoyle purred deeply and arched his head a little toward Lysander but he still gave a stony grin when Rose came over. "Haven't seen you in a while, sunshine," he said in a gruff voice as he glanced down at her.

Rose blushed a little. She had once spent much time here, day in and day out when not hanging with the twins or Scorpius. She gave the gargoyle a soft smile. "I'm sorry. I'll visit more often, I promise," she said, her smile spreading a little. Last time she was even in here she was crying because Scorpius had found someone else. She smiled about it now, knowing that helped her to realize Lysander was there. She was also very thankful the stony creature didn't mention that to them.

Lianna wandered around, her bunny ears and tail still present. She was beginning to like them and thinking she may keep them around longer than today. With a giggle she snuck up behind Lorcan and hugged him, kissing the back of his neck before she hopped off.

As Lianna went to hop off he reached back and grabbed her legs, pinning her to his back and lifting her up to wrap her legs around him before he looked over his shoulder. Lorcan's award winning smile was on his lips yet again. "Hey there bunny foofoo don't go attacking people or i'll attack you!" He chuckled and raised one hand to tickle her side before catching her to make sure she didn't fall off.

Lysander looked over at his beauty and smiled as he continued to pet the creature. His eyes closed for a moment and he just relaxed, his legs aching after having run around all day and he was rather full to the point he was just tired from the large dinner they had eaten earlier. "Well I don't think i'll be trying that new ice cream ever again." He laughed, hearing his brother make a gurgling sound.

Lianna giggled ferociously. She clung to him, not falling, but shook with quiet giggles. "Sorry," she said through the giggles, hugging him and snuggling his back. Her ears twitched and flopped against him gently and she smiled and closed her eyes.

Rose smiled back at Lysander, leaning against the statue comfortably. While they waited she just relaxed. "You two are odd," she said to the twins, grinning playfully.

"Just now figuring that out sweet heart?" Lysander laughed a bit before he pulled a book out of his bag and relaxed. When he heard annoyed sounds from his brother the boy just stuck out his tongue and ran his fingers through his hair, messing with the slight blond streak that helped tell him apart from Lorcan.

"No your not!" he demanded she tell the truth but stopped when he heard the tussle of paper, making him grown. "You NEVER give up! I swear, you'd live in a book if you could!" Lorcan just shook his head and laughed, knowing he was just teasing, before taking off to run around the quad with Lianna on his back.

Rose blushed a little at how easily his pet names flowed off his tongue. She smiled at him though, and chuckled a little at Lorcan. "You're only jealous because you can't read," she joked with him after his comment to Lysander. She chuckled a bit though and just closed her eyes while they waited. The sun was just about gone under the horizon and it was getting a little chilly. Rose quivered a tiny bit but she didn't really notice the change too much.

Lianna laughed. She held on tighter when he stood up and started running about the courtyard. She giggled and cheered, holding onto him tightly so that she didn't fall.

THough he didn't say anything, Lysander held his arm out to Rose. His winter cloak was large and warm like a blanket and he seemed more than willing to offer it to her or at least to share. The smile on his lips said he was waiting for her but he simply continued to read.

Lorcan kept running but started acting like he was crying. "How dare you tell everyone my secret! What a cruel sister in law you are! Meanie!" He started to cry until he fell on the ground and held onto Lianna as he rolled around.

Rose didn't notice his arm at first, but when she did she smiled cutely. She snuggled into him and closed her eyes, relaxing while he read his book. She had kept her mind off her missing cousin for most of the day, but as they all sat there not doing much she started thinking about it again. She just stayed there quietly though, not tell any of them she was thinking about it or worried.

Lianna squealed a little as Lorcan fell. She was laughing so hard as he rolled, and she wasn't sure how she ended up in front of him, but she couldn't even catch her breath. She was laughing much too hard.

Lysander wasn't with Rose for nothing, he noticed slight things. He didn't bring it up, however, but instead just curled his arms around her and pulled her into him. He wrapped his cloak around her and let it basically cover her completely as he sneaked kisses to her head and temple as he read.

Lorcan kept rolling around, laughing with her and attacking her with kisses. When he could he'd nip her ears slightly just to mess with her and then would kiss her over and over again and cuddle her tightly as they rolled around.

Lianna giggled and squirmed a little in his grasp, stealing kisses on him when she could.

Rose appreciated Lysander. She smiled cutely when he practically hid her small form completely under his winter cloak. She tucked into him comfortably. One passing by may think she wasn't even here, she though with a grin.

Lorcan finally stopped and just laid there next to her. He curled up and cuddled to her, kissing at her shoulders and neck cutely but not teasingly.

Lysander held her tightly to him, rubbing her arm now and then before he cuddled his head to hers. "If you feel like your going to fall asleep and want to go upstairs just tell me, I have no probably carrying you up there." he whispered in her ear softly, chuckling a bit.

Lianna breathed a little heavily, his attack of kisses mixed with her laughing and moving around had her heart racing a little. she cuddled him back, smiling happily. She kissed his forehead each time he kissed her, that being what she could reach the best.

Rose smiled gently. "I'm alright," she said with a smile. She wasn't really tired after the upbeat day they'd had, fooling around in Hogsmeade. She kissed his chin when he went back to reading, snuggling into his neck and taking in his smell. He always smelled so good. Rose wondered what it was, if anything, he wore, but never really wanted to ask at the same time. The mystery had her loving his smell even more.

Lysander kept his arm around her tightly and cuddled to her as he read. He would peak at her from time to time until at last he just moved forward and kissed her. "I love you Rose Weasley." Chuckling he held onto her and kissed her forehead. "Your so detracting."

Lorcan sighed and held onto her. "Lianna your awesome! So want me to get rid of your ears and tail yet or are we holding out on it a little more?" He chuckled, cuddling into her and pulling at her ear slightly.

"I'll wear them a bit longer,' she said with a bright smile. "You never wore a dress!" she exclaimed, pointing her finger accusingly at him and smirking. "Tomorrow, and no getting out of it." she gave him a playful glare and a smile and kissed him gently.

Rose just lay there, cuddled to him. She returned the kiss though, smiling a little into his lips. her smile widened and she laughed at him when he spoke. "I'm not doing anything to distract you!" she defended playfully, giggling a little. "And I love you too," she said cutely, snuggling him again.

He chuckled and kissed her again as he put his book away at last and held her close to him, lifting her to shift her onto his lap. He put his cloak over her completely and cuddled with her as if they were in the warmest tent in the world. Being next to her made it seem like that.

"Oh alright alright. I doubt anyone will be really surprised....oh hey we should get Scorpius and Iris to play that game too! If they aren't too tired by the time they get here anyway."

Rose laughed a bit. She moved as well as him tryign to move her, and cuddled under the cloak. She grinned a little and sneaked a kiss on his lips in the shelter of the 'tent.' "For the record, I'm not a distraction. you're just distracted," she said as she smiled and chuckled a little.

"We may have to all sneak off somewhere. I'm not so sure the teachers will like us staying in each others dorms all the time," Lianna said with a slight giggle. She smiled at him and kissed his nose cutely.

"We could just stay out here tonight. Lysander and I can put up a hiding spell so we can camp out and go into the dorms later!" He smirked darkly, loving the thought of it all.

Lysander chuckled and shook his head. "Sweety, your the biggest distraction in the world." Smiling, he kissed her cheek and held her close. "Is it bad I'm glad you got pissed at Scorpius earlier this year?" Chuckling, he looked down at her and smirked.

"If you want to," Lianna agreed without really a second thought. She smiled broadly and nuzzled. She kissed his neck cutely and glanced up at him. "We'll have to kidnap Iris and Scorpius when they come through," she said with a grin.

Rose blushed a little, but she shook her head. "No.... but you know... that's not the reason I asked you. I asked you to go to the ball with me because of your personality. You're sweet, and charming, and..." She blushed a little more, "very handsome. I thought you would be fun to go with." She snuggled him a little, kissing the underside of his jaw sensually in the secrecy of the cloak. "And I was right," she said with a gentle smile.

"I know love, I know." He ran his fingers through her hair and grinned as he relaxed. "Your wonderful Rose. I couldn't be more in love with you, yet i fall deeper every day." He chuckled again and kissed her cheek when he saw her blush.

"HEY LOVE BIRDS" Lorcan threw a rock at Lysander's head, making him jump and growl. "Hehe, hey wanna help me kidnap someone?"

Though he looked questioning no one could deny there was an odd spark in his eye suddenly. "Who? Lianna is right there!"

"Iris and Scorpius when they get in" He was smirking and had the same look as his brother.

"Hah! Deal."

"Sweet"

Lianna smirked happily. She was more than willing to kidnap the two for an all-nighter outside for a change. She was rather excited about it, Lianna loved the stars. In fact, as she thought about it, she rolled slightly out of Lorcan's embrace, far enough to see the stars winking down now as dusk set in darkly.

Rose blushed again, but she just chuckled cutely at their twin reactions to the thought of kidnapping Scorpius and Iris on their way through. "Better get to pitching a tent then," she said with a small smile, glancing up at her love. If they were going to make the tents invisible they had to pitch them first...

Lorcan laughed as he got up, letting her lay there. "Who said anything about tents?" He smirked when his brother did and got up as he pulled out his wand. The two talked for a moment before he and Lysander both began chanting a spell as they made invisible walls around them. "There, finally done."

Lysander smiled and returned to Rose, kissing her sweetly. "We're going to go get Iris and Scorpius, or at least wait for them. Stay in this area and no one, even if they walk past, will see or hear you." Without another word the twins ran off.

Rose watched them, nodded, and kissed his lips quickly before he ran off with his brother. She simply lay back and relaxed looking up at the sky. "They're wonderful," she said, smiling a little.

Lianna perked her head up and smiled as well. "Oh yes, they are," she said in hernormal dreamy tone. She was pulling one of her ears down in front of her face, playing with it when they came back.

"Shuuuut uuup you'll get us in trouble!" Lorcan was leading the way, though only a step in front of his brother, and had Scorpius hoisted in a way that no matter how much of a 'dead weight' he was it wasn't going to stop him. Humming slightly, he and Lysander played a game with the teachers and prefects that were wandering the halls. When one came by the twins would take turns leading them off with sounds and crashes in other rooms. Yeah, they liked sneaking around in a noisy way.

"You alright Iris?" He asked, not being as rude as his brother--though if he was the one who captured Scorpius he probably could have been worse. As they walked he noticed Professor Lennald walk past and couldn't help but smirk. The man might have been his favorite teacher but he deserved a bit of pay back for skipping out on the school year. "Let me have this one." He pulled out his wand and aimed it carefully at two suits of armor. Just as he was about to bring them to life something in the back of his mind clicked from doing a good old prank to be horribly nasty. His eyes shined darkly and he said a different spell, one that had Lorcan staring at him. This spell was forbidden and had only been learned during their break one year in the summer, and both has sworn they wouldn't use it until the urged took control. It seemed to take control of him now. The spell would show an omen of the intended, in this case Viktor's, greatest fear coming true and how it could happen.

After realizing what he had done, Lysander looked over at Lorcan with a worried glance before he urged them on and ran back to the Quad.

Scorpius propped himself up on his elbow and sighed. The rest of the walk he was pretty much silent, giving Iris an 'I'm sorry you have to put up with them too' glance and just taking to paying attention to the things they passed. He was trying to figure out where they were going. Scorpius knew that spell. He gave Lysander a completely surprised glance. "Wha'-..." He couldn't even finish his question. He was shocked and little worried about the professor. When they got to the Quad and he saw they were hidden behind oddly partially invisible walls he blurted, "What the hell was that about?" He gave Lysander a serious look, but as Rose questioned it he just fell silent, still giving Lysander a -by now- disappointed look. He furrowed his brows soon after by the look of the Lorcan's Gypsy Queen making her way to him with what looked like... no, it couldn't be... rabbit ears?

When they came back Lianna hopped up and hugged Lorcan. She then hugged the still tied up form of Iris and then Scorpius. "Welcome baaaack!" she called out happily. "We missed you guys." She smiled brightly at them both.

Rose was laying down when they came back. She laughed a little at the sight of them all, but as Scorpius snapped she sat up completely. "What happened?" she asked sweetly, standing and coming to Lysander's side with an innocent smile.

Viktor heard something. He glanced around but saw nothing. With a slight shrug he continued on his way. While he walked he lost himself in his thoughts. Within moment he stopped and looked around with furrowed brows. He didn't remember going back inside... And yet here he was in the hallway. He caught sight of a certain door, and his confusion only heightened. He certainly didn't remember going to Desdemona's room... Wit a slight shrug he shook his head, trying to make sure he was awake. Yup, wide awake. Alright then. He opened the door and as he slipped in all was silent. Too silent. Viktor made his way slowly to the back of the classroom and knocked on her chamber door. No answer. He knocked again before smiling a little. She must have fallen asleep. Good, now he'd get to see her in hr innocent state again. he happily opened the door but the sight he set his eyes on made his knees buckle. There, half laying on the bed, half hanging off, was Desdemona. Things looked a little... odd. He slowly approached the bed, but as he did he froze and suddenly his past came back to him. The sight he now saw was brutal and he wanted nothing more to do with it as soon as he knew. Tears flowed freely and Viktor slowly came to Desdemona's badly tortured body. He dropped in a heap beside her head, which hung over the side. Her neck had been sliced, but not completely, and her torso had been mutilated. Her chest had been ripped open, her ribs broken, and her heart missing. Viktor sobbed now, seeing that the assailant had gone so far as to removed her eyes. He felt as though he were going to vomit, but his eyes caught something in the corner. A heap of what looked like three dragon carcasses lay ripped apart and in a bloody mess. Viktor was sure he was going, or had already gone, mad. No... no, it couldn't be... He ran from the room, but as he left the door he was back outside. As the door closed everything was gone. He wasn't sure what to think... or what to feel. Without a second thought, Viktor first ran to the castle as though his feet were aflame. He went straight to Desdemona's chambers.
