Forgotten Valley [Greece]

Here, in a forgotten valley between the mountains of Greece, resides a civilization that hid from both the muggle and wizardry world for years. It wasn't until Praxis Clementine--someone who later became their princess--was brought to their hidden homes that they were shown the world beyond. Birthed from harpies and sirens, the species is small but have amazing gifts, and powers. If you trespass here without word of passage from Praxis or without her with you then your death is a given.

Orestes motioned for Nyssa to land as they came to a thick forest. He slid off of Alderon and waited for his lady and her ....blood lover to land. "We are nearly in Greece, Princess. We should probably transform now before we are attacked." He bowed at her as she nodded. When she sent him away he turned and left with Alderon to transform hidden from her.

"Yes, your right. Go over there and transform, I'll meet you in the sky in a moment." Once he was gone she turned and looked at Andrew, Nyssa leading them behind some trees. She kissed Andrew and as she did it her hands went over her dress and undid it, pulling it off and throwing it at him before she slipped off her pet. "Hold that for me, I can't wear it any more." She chuckled before she nearly stumbled when she tried to walk. "Oh I'll love it went I don't have this ache any more..." she mumbled before stripping off the rest of her cloths and tossing them back up where she was sitting moments before. She looked down at her Engagement ring, wondering if this was a good idea to keep it on but she couldn't take it off. It meant to much to her.

She tilted her head back, crossed her arms against her chest, and started to sing. The notes seemed to take a physical form and wrapped around her making her body glow in a dark light--a black, purplish light. Bones started to pop out of her arms, one two three four five. Five of them popped out and leather like bat wings spread from them. From those bones scales took control of her hands and arm, stopping and turning to feathers just before her elbow, her hands turning into talons. Her hair was growing long, nearly falling to the ground in thick lust curves of magenta. From her head that grown of feathers appeared again, matching not only the feathers around her arms but a large plume of a tail appeared with four large, long peacock tails. Her legs soon also took a similar appearance as her arms and finally they appeared. Wings, probably near a mile wing spend, maybe more, ripped out of his back. The wings were shining dark magenta and beautiful in their movements. finally gleaming scales made a crowning mask around her eyes as her ears changed into odd shell like cuts. Hovering above the ground, her wings curving slightly, she moved over to him and smiled a bit. She had gleaming, moving tattoos all over her body that changed colours slightly as she reached for the scarf she had brought with her. Tying it over her ample breasts, she tested everything out to make sure she had changed right.

Andrew smiled up at her as well. He didn't mind bit of her transformation, though he had to remind himself he was not going to flip when he saw the males. He knew they were said be be gorgeous as well but he just remembered she was not going to succumb to them and if they approached her anyway he would have to step in. "Are you ready then?" he asked her with a grin, having picked up the rest of her clothes.

Praxis nodded as she fumbled to push her hair behind her wings. "This is always bothersome..." Her voice was delicate now, frail and didn't match her at all. It was sensuous though and could have gotten a foolish male to fall into her trap from a mile away. Opening her wings she took off into the air, Nyssa following close behind. She looked like a huge purple phoenix as she started doing tricks in the air, waiting for Orestes.

Orestes appeared soon after, Alderon already having taken off for the village, and he looked similar to her but still very different. His wings were much shorter, maybe half a mile wingspans, and his feathers were green. He had no crown of feathers upon his head but he did have golden scales that moved from his black waved hair to his nose like a helmet, a few feathers leading there to add to the appearance. His set up was similar, though his tail was shorter and had just long green feathers trailing behind him. Also, from his arms, there were scaled guards rather than leather wings. Like Praxis, and most females, there was nothing covering his body so the perfectly carved body, that most any female would love to lay claim to, was free for all to see. He moved in closer to her. "Ready Princess?" He smiled, glad to see her back in what he called her right form. When she nodded they started off. He was a bit behind her and Nyssa was beside him with Andrew, Praxis being able to fly faster than either of them.

Jealousy raged through Andrew, but he pushed it aside, determined to be a good boy... for Praxis. He was determined not to loose her and so he would do nothing to warrant it. whatsoever. He watched as they approached the village and he let his emotionlessness take him over. He needed to be this way or Praxis would have tons of dead Harpies at her feet. Males stared, even females stared at her as if they'd love to be in Andrew's position. He just kept his gaze on her, his eyes blank and barren of feeling for the time being as he waited to have her alone again. He clung to Nyssa, feeling very out of place now. He imagined he would not be accepted, not easily anyway unless they listedned and feared her that much.

"Princess I shall go and tell them to prepare rooms for you and...he?" Orestes glared at Andrew slightly but Praxis, using her left hand which now had a magenta gem on the back of it, glowing with color and outlined in silver to show she was still taken. At this command he flew off ahead of her as the others started to surround them.

"Orestes, One room" she called after him as she hovered there waiting for Nyssa to join. The others of her kind started to swarm them and she was soon surrounded by creatures that looked like her yet couldn't come close at the same time. Two small creatures, boys and young like toddlers, flew over to her and wrapped their arms around her waist.

"Princess Praxis is back!" they chimed as she chuckled and hugged the two small beings. They stayed connected to her hips as more came around her. It wasn't long until someone mentioned the gem on her left talon.

Lady Princess, what is that? A few women gathered around to examine her, most fearing to touch her and those that did reached out with trembling limbs. Praxis smiled brightly, her full lips curving in a sensual and wonderful way.

"This is my mating mark." was her simple reply that sent a ripple effect through the crowd. There were cheers and boos all around and questions galore. Many asked if she had mated with Orestes, which made her scold and shake her head. "No no, my mate is there, clear way clear way." She said as she motioned for Nyssa to bring Andrew forward. When she did so all went silent until one of the boys on Praxis' hip spoke up.

"Princess Praxis...why does he have no wings?"

"Why does he have no feathers?" One spoke after the other and Praxis chuckled as she let them go. The two flew off to circle Nyssa and Andrew, smiling and waving at him. He seems to serious for Princess Praxis! Is he a meanie?" One said as they flew back to hid behind her wings.

"No he's no...unless your mean, and he's not one of our kind." A roar exploded among them.

"Lady Princess! You can not-

Praxis turned on the woman that had started to speak and her wings opened completely, silencing everyone. "I can not what? If you accept me you shall accept him. If not then shun me from your village now." Silence among them all and she glared at each one slowly until she nodded. "That is as I thought. Treat him with welcome, he is of us as I am, the same amount as well. I was not one of you until recently and you open to me, so open to him." Silence again. Then a group of cheering started and the cheers continued all around as they started to move near Andrew.

Welcome new lord, young lord! Welcome, welcome!"

"May I get you anything Young Lord?"

"New cloths must be had, New Lord!"

"Oh he's far to thin! We must feed his muscles so they may grow as ours! A feast! A feast for the Princess! A feast for the New Lord!" The chant continued around them until Praxis was chuckling and had to fly over them, grab Andrew, and lift him out of their grasp as Nyssa was steared into the village, which was made along the high sides of mountains hidden in the air and traced all the way down to the forest below depending on rank.

"Don't mind them love, they do like you." She flew quickly through the clouds and came to the top of the tallest mountain, a castle. Landing and letting him stand upon its ground she folded her wings and walked through with him. The doors were cut large for her wings. They entered a dinning area and it was filled with the others preparing and setting up a feast. She walked with him down a hall and toward gleaming golden doors that opened to a grand room. Soon after she let her wings sink back into her back, making her fall in a heep on the ground out of the pain of absorbing them, and took deep breaths. Her hands turned from talons to well hands with long talon like nails but the rest of her stayed the same. She laid on the bed, made of silk and blue with a lace canopy, and smiled. "This place isn't so bad really..." She mumbled as she laid there, exposed beside the cloth around her breasts. She was breathing heavily from the pain she had just taken before looking at him and sitting up again. She opened her arms to him, hoping he'd come to her.

Truthfully Andrew as amazed, but he showed it little, his features remaining still as the village surrounded her first, then him. He couldn't help but chuckle and lighten up a little at the smaller versions of her, but his eyes were on hers as she spoke to them all a little harshly. He loved her more and more each passing minute and he couldn't wait to have her again. He didn't care about this transformation, as he had told Ash long ago, he found her sexy. Of course, he found her sexy and beautiful anyway. He would be kind to them as long as he got kindness in return, wanting to hold true to anything Praxis said or did or wanted of him. As she lifted him he smirked a little. So the roles had reversed, and he wasn't 'the man' right now... He wasn't sure he minded so much though as he took to looking around. "Not all of them..." he mumbled more to himself, thinking of Orestes. However once they'd touched down he cracked his neck quickly before walking in with her. He wasn't sure how he felt about being called "Lord" though, never really wanting that kind of power before. He'd always been content taking orders and killing on Desdemona's behalf, and now he would kill on Praxis' of course. But he wasn't sure if he really liked the idea of having some sort of power as well... His eyes roamed the grand room she'd brought him to. It was rather beautiful, though it wasn't quite his style. "Glad to see you're happy, love." he said, walking to her as she opened her arms. She was a bit bigger than him now, but he hugged her close all the same, still treasuring her. He was worried about her breathing but knew it would wear off so he pushed it from his mind as he looked around with a soft sigh. "So what are we to do until the feast then?... And when do you plan to tell them I drink blood?" he asked her with a slight smirk.

Praxis smiled and hugged him glad he didn't mind her in this form. Her crown of feathers slicked back as she pushed her hair back off her shoulder and fumbled with a few strands between her fingers. "Oh I wont be telling them. You will; see if they treat you as they did me then you'll be entertaining us this evening." She smirked and looked up at him again. Her eyelashes were long and dangerously sharp but not only that they were curved over eyes that had no pupils but were only magenta in color. As she glanced at him she summoned black orbs to appear as her pupils. Not use to switching through forms very well yet, this was painful and made her wince but she was use to pain by now so as her heaving breathing it didn't last long. She looked around at the over sized room and grimaced slightly. "I like our place better," she mumbled under her breath. "and as for what we do until then, you can choose. I could show you everything, we could go explore for a while, whatever you'd like." Her smiled was genuine as she glanced at him again.

A knock came to the door came a few moments later--answered by a strangled sigh from Praxis-- and once commanded to enter the door opened. Orestes walked in, his wings folded behind him and his helmet of feathers slick and sticking up as soon as he noticed Andrew was there. This had to be stopped. He decided that when Andrew was put upon the spot at the feast it would be judgment day for him. He just had to think of a way to go about it without Praxis interfering. He bowed swiftly and waited until she told him to rise to look upon them again. He didn't have pupils either but instead of magenta controlling his sight it was emerald, as if his eyes had replaced with gems. "Princess the feast should be done within a few hours. Nyssa has been given nesting areas in the forests lining the palace and the treaties have been stored in your judgment chamber. Is there anything I can get you....either of you?" He added the last part with a slight sneer but hid it as well as he could.

Andrew's eyes widened and he narrowed his eyes questioningly at her. "What do you mean... entertaining... tonight...?" he asked her slowly. It would have sounded a little threatening if anyone else heard it, but his smirk at her told her he was in no way threatening her at all. He was about to answer her, in fact he was able to say "It's really u-" before the knock sounded. He cringed at it, glaring at the door for a moment, until it opened. He remained beside his love, refusing to leave her unless he was forced to. "Nothing for me, thanks..." he grumbled, really not liking the way Orestes was toward him. He was bad at hiding his hatred for Andrew and Andrew had a brooding suspicion he knew why. He let his arm slip around her waist and he placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, giving her a gentle grin. "How about you show me around eh? I'd love to meet those you call family now." he told her earnestly. He wasn't sure if he really wanted to meet them, but in a sense he did. He wanted anyone she held close to at least meet him. He didn't really care what they thought of him but he wanted to show her he would do anything for her. Andrew would never have done something like that for someone he wasn't willing to die for.

Praxis moved to be closer to him and her eyes closed slightly at the kiss on her cheek, loving the fact that he could at least be gentle with her if no one else. Her eyes flashed open again and she turned to look at him, kissing his cheek in turn. Her flesh and lips and all of her was nearly ten times hotter than in her normal form, which was helpful since it was normally always snowing or ice cold around the village. "Alright, though I don't think I call them all family yet..." She shrugged and looked over at Orestes, just missing the sneer on his lips. Her eyes burned on him, her eyes narrowing and her lips showing misfortune for him. "You'll remember our minds are linked, Orestes. Behave." It was an order, a dangerous order that made the very air between them shrill and cold.

Orestes jolted slightly before bowing again. "Yes Princess, I apologize princess." He rose again but kept his head bowed. "I shall dismiss myself to help with the preparations then, if anything is needed call for me." When she dismissed him, very cruelly in the way she did so, he slipped out of the room and closed the solid golden doors behind him. His eyes were hard as he walked out of the hall and back into the dinning area. His whispers started to be carried through the villagers, each of them talking about the new Young Lord.

Praxis turned back to Andrew and smiled as she took his hands in hers and rose up. "Come on then! What do you want to see first? The village itself, some of the most interesting people, or is there something that caught your eye when we first got here?" She smiled brightly at him, glad he was at least trying.

His eyes narrowing at Orestes' back until the doors closed, instantly forgot about him and returned his attention to he bride to be. His gaze was soft before his eyes even met hers and he smiled at her a little. "I want to see everything you want to show me, of course." he told her as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "We're in your territory Praxis, I know nothing of this place yet. It's your turn to lead me for a while." He was happy to relax and let her guide him through his days for a bit, content in giving up his pride at least for a while. He grinned at her, "But not with... everything.." he said, a mischevious smirk and a gleam in his eye.

Praxis smirked as she looked at that gleam in his eyes. She chuckled slightly and moved to press her lips, perfectly carved, soft, burning like a living fire, against his. After a slow, short kiss she pulled back and looked up at him with her own mischevious smirk. "Really now? and what is it that your going to lead me to still?" Her lips curved in a sensual, nearly teasing way as she trailed her fingers along his jawline. As she waited for his answer her thoughts were running over where to bring him and what to show him. Sure nearly everyone would be in the palace that night, even the lower class, but she wanted to--she knew the perfect place to bring him to show him something that might just have to do with their future.

Andrew kissed her, her lips hotter than normal but he liked it. Instead of evening out his temperature she made his lips warmer than he could ever imagine, and he loved it. He blinked when she moved away, now the one to detest the separation. He let his hands slide up and down the side of her body, pressing a little firmly. "To bliss, my love. To bliss." he said simply, smirking down at her gorgeous face. He leaned his lips to hers again, still smirking. "And don't think I forgot about this whole... entertaining everyone thing. What's that all about?" he asked her as they moved to the doors.

"Bliss hmm? I'll agree with that..." she said with a smirk of her own as their lips touched again. This time the kiss lasted a little longer, his ice doing little to chill her but when added to the sheer cold of the surrounding areas it was wonderful all the same. When they pulled apart again she made a slightly pouting face. "Aw I was hoping you'd forget about that," she joked as they walked. Walking was still slightly painful she she slowly let her wings start to pull from her back. Blood started to drip over her bare skin, making her stop walking and cringe slightly as her skin was torn open. When finally the wings were back out, folded behind her enough so she could still move around freely, she hovered above the ground just by about an inch, and moved with him. The height difference was barely noticeable. "Well, they want to know about sooooo you'll be the one talking tonight. They'll want you to tell them all about you, and stories about where you come from what you do, what kind of creature you are. Whatever you want to share tell them. I've already spoken to them about you when i first came here anyway." She smiled at him, keeping close to his body as they moved, and watched him out of the corner of her eye as they started down a different hall and toward an opened area covered in snow. "Are you sure you don't need something warmer to wear?"

Andrew shook his head slightly. The cold was nothing to him, though he basked in heat when it was near. "I'm not that cold. The chill air isn't bad on me, I just like the heat better... I like your heat," he said, a smile crossing his lips as he walked. He didn't mind her floating. Andrew did sigh though, thinking about tonight. He wasn't sure he like the sound of opening up to everyone, but he supposed her could give answers to satisfy without delving too personally. "So where are you taking me... princess?" he asked. When he called her Princess he smirked at her, chuckling a little.

Praxis cringed and her head hung when he called her princess. "Oh please don't you start that too!" She pouted slightly as if he were acting unfair by saying it. She moved so she was hovering behind him, her arms draping over his shoulders and crossing just above his heart. Leaning into him, her chest pressing against his back and her lips moving so they were nearly pressing against his ear as she spoke. "Warmer?" She whispered softly as she stayed near him, stirring him in the right direction. "And I'm taking you to my favorite spot of course." She said like he should have guessed that already. They made it outside, the snow glistening across the rocky landscape, and headed down a long winding path way of stairs. As they went she laid her head on his shoulder and smiled, glad she got to be so close to him. Now and then she would press her lips to his skin, either his cheek or jawline. Once in a while, when he stayed silent for to long and she wanted his attention, she'd press her burning lips over the vein on his neck to send boiling warm bursts against his icy blood. Oh she knew she'd pay for all of this later when they were left alone again, she knew that very well, but she also knew he liked the things she did simply by his response to them.

Eventually they made it to the lower parts of the village and she lead him through the path between buildings. The set up was simple, large homes with doors big enough for a creatures wings to fit through--which the sized changed depending on rank-- and the homes were carved out of the mountains. There were pathways and bridges between mountains only for those who's wings were injured and they had to walk. In other words, Andrew was lucky she didn't carry him the whole time. Now and then they would pass some of her people, either working on things for the feast or just lounging around after getting their things done, and bursts of conversation would start in the little groups. Words that most echoed in their own language, similar to the words Praxis had used when singing for Andrew only they weren't as articulate. After a while they came to a cave opening where things got slightly warmer but there was still ice everywhere. She lead him through the corridors that were lit with a glowing gem until they started hearing laughter.

That was when they entered a room where at least ten little children, all with different colored wings and most of them female, were flying around and playing some game. As soon as they entered the children all shouted; "Princess Praxis!" And flew toward the pair. In the back there was a young female that rose up, her wings folded back and her hand on her rounded stomach. The pregnant females were always in charge of watching the children during times where everyone else had to work. This female walked forward, her wings limp and weak from the energy the child was taking from her, and bowed to Praxis and Andrew. The children, by this time, had lead the pair over to a table and had them sitting as the children sat around them as if waiting for a story.

"Lady Princess, it is good to see you again... The young woman said when she rose. Her hair fell down her back in long black locks that shone against her blue feathers. She was a religious leader and well known among the people, she was also one of the first to start calling Praxis Princess.

"Hello Penelope, how's the pregnancy going, have the pains started?" Praxis asked with a smile as she let one of the children, a young girl with tan wings, climb up onto her lap. The girl laid her head against Praxis' chest and listened to her heartbeat as she played with Praxis' left hand and the gem that had formed from the engagement ring. She was facing Andrew so every time she looked up and caught his eye the young girl would squeak, blush, and hide her face in Praxis' bosom.

"A few but that shouldn't start until the eleventh month and I'm near the end of my tenth so it's coming. No more troubles over it! Who is this? I am sure I should know but as you may see, Lady Princess, I was busy when you arrived." Some of the children started to whisper in their language while they all turned their stares toward Andrew. Each of the children looked at him like he was some kind of strange beast. One of the girls reached out to touch him but, fearing his gaze, pulled her hand away.

"This is my fiance, my mate, Andrew. Todius mushina la-lilani wivi Heliusun" She ended her statement in their language but added something that made the children jump up and sing out the word 'heliusun'. Penelope chuckled and held out her talons, which turned swiftly into hands, to shake Andrew's.

"Welcome."

Andrew let her guide him and tease him, bottling the reaction she was forcing him to have up for later. He would get her later, but for now he wanted to enjoy her race's village, hoping she wouldn't thrust him into a crowd just yet, though he supposed it wouldn't matter. If he was going to be everyone' entertainment for the night there was no point trying to lay low now. He said nothing else as they entered. He just looked around. His gaze was still emotionless, something he couldn't help other than when alone with Praxis and in certain company. he however smiled at the children a little, oddly afraid of their opinions more so than the adults. At the woman's hand he gave her a small smile and shook it gently. "Thank you," he said to her quietly, unsure of what to say. He looked at Praxis, feeling a little uncomfortable, but he had to deal and he knew it. So he turned back to her, the pregnant female and smiled again. "It's lovely here," he told her. he admitted he did like it, it was nice, but he missed home now that he had one to call his own... well, his and his future bride's.

Praxis could see he wasn't very comfortable and frowned a bit, wishing she could do something. Andrew meant everything to Praxis so she had to think of a way to make him feel alright here. She would have flown back to England with him that moment if she didn't have things she had to finish here. Then it hit her, he didn't have to stay there. She decided that as soon as they got out of here she'd tell him he could leave with Nyssa if he liked. The girl that was sitting on her lap started to move until her arms locked around Praxis' neck and she put her head in the crook. The small child whispered things to Praxis and after a while she nodded before wrapping her arms around the child and lifting her up. The small girl moved and looked at Andrew. She squeaked and tried to hide her face when she caught his eyes. A few moments later she peeked at him from behind her fingers and her wings fluttered slightly as she watched the silver in his eyes. A soft giggle escaped her.

"H-he's not scary Momma Princess!" The little girl said as she looked back at Praxis with a big grin. She had a missing tooth on the side, showing that she was already old enough for her baby teeth to start falling out.

"Nope he's not." Praxis smiled at the little girl and then the other children lost their fear of Andrew as well.

"Mister, mister, what do you do?" one of the smaller girls asked as she reached out with her tiny hand and tugged on his pant leg. The children watched it as if they had never seen such things before and they probably hadn't. Penelope watched and smiled before one of the larges feathers on her head brushed against Praxis'.

He isn't one of ours but he still seems like a good mate. I wish you luck, Lady Princess. Penelope thought in her mind as she connected to Praxis' thoughts.

He is, and thank you. I'm lucky as it is for just having him, I don't know if its possible to be more lucky than i am. She watched as the little kids started talking to Andrew and tried to figure out how he flied, not understanding that not everything can fly.

Andrew chuckled at the little girl. His gaze softened to her and he lifted her up wit ha hand, placing her on his hip as he spoke. "I learn," he told her gently. "And what do you do," he had asked her. After getting an adorable response Andrew chuckled, his fangs showing freely. He hadn't caught the interaction between the females as he had gone to walking with the children, feeling oddly more comfortable.

"Look see, go ahead, feel." he told the children as Praxis' attention returned to him, kneeling down so they could feel that he had no wings. "I'm not as cool as you, I can't fly." he said, chuckling as some of them zoomed around, proud of their wings. He stood again, the little girl in Praxis arms still watching him. He moved to Praxis, but he was looking at the girl. "Hello,' he said kindly, holding his hand out to her. If she gave it, he'd kiss the top of it and let it go. "What's your name?" he asked, regardless.

Praxis watched Andrew and couldn't help the smile on her lips. Yeah, they'd be okay. If he ever doubted how he could love a child again she was going to beat him upside the head though. The children started to fly around him and some went back to playing, trying to show off for the stranger. Penelope had gone to take care of one of the children when they hit the wall on accident. When Andrew walked back to Praxis the girl hid her face against her bosom again and peeked out to see Andrew after a few moments. She timidly put her hand in his and giggled when he kissed it.

"D-Dreama..." The little girl muttered shyly. She looked up at Praxis as if asking what to do next. She smiled and nodded toward Andrew. The girl turned slightly on her lap and faced Andrew, looking up at him with big eyes like she was still afraid of him. One of the boys flew over and landed next to Praxis, cuddling into her hip and laying his head on her waist as he closed his eyes. She chuckled and ran her fingers over the boys cheek, soothing him as she started to rest from his playing. Dreama looked up at Andrew still, her hands on Praxis' neck, wondering what he was. "...Why....d-do your t-teeth point...."

Andrew wanted to say 'because I'm a monster', the same answer he'd give many many questioners. Being a child however, he was more honest and open and it was much easier. "Because, young Dreama. I am not human either,' he said with a wink. He moved a little closer to her, speaking low but with a kind smile. "I'm a vampire," he told her gently. It was now time to see how accepting this race really was. At this point chaos normally erupted and Andrew was cast away. His gaze then moved to the boy. He smiled fondly, remembering the vision she had shared with him. His eyes moved to hers quickly and a vulnerable gaze had taken him over as he shared it with her. The children had touched his frozen heart and he couldn't help the shaking his eyes did as he looked on Praxis, thinking about many things now.

When their eyes met Praxis knew this had been the right place to take him. Seeing how open and vulnerable he was, something she hadn't seen so completely in public for a very long time, she couldn't help but lean forward and kiss him gently. The children near by made faces, the girls giggling and the boys echoing the 'ew' from the vision shared. When she pulled away Dreama was giggling too but stopped when Andrew looked at her. She reached forward and pressed the tip of one of her small fingers, her talons not grown in yet, against his fang. It pricked her finger and she froze. Looking at the blood she slowly started to cry and hid her face in Praxis' bosom again. She furrowed her brow before taking the girl's finger and pressing it to her lip. The blood was gone by now and she showed it to her. "Don't worry, it was just a prick. You have to be careful Dreama." Her words were soft and motherly, drawing the child from her hiding place to look at the finger again. She smiled and faced the vampire that had scared her a moment ago.

By now some of the kids had heard her crying and gathered around to see what the stranger had done. When they saw her smiling, however, the kids all joined in and waited to see what she would do. Dreama, pushing up using Praxis' shoulders, looked at Andrew with bright hazel eyes. "...Not scary... she muttered to herself, trying to act strong. She made a face like she was trying to look unafraid and then started to wobble on Praxis' legs. Falling forward, she ended up hugging Andrew. The little girl didn't mind, and soon had her head hidden in the crook of his neck. She peeked at the boy who had now wrapped his arms around Praxis' waist and was snuggling to her as he slept.

Moment of truth. Andrew caught the young girl, smiling at her softly. he felt horrible when she poked his fang, which would make even himself bleed, and hoped it hadn't ruined everything. However when she was smiling up at him and trying to act all tough his heart melted just a little more. Between Praxis and the Children Andrew feared he'd loose what he'd gained in her absence, though he knew it wasn't true. And if so it didn't matter, he was just as strong willed before. He lifted the young girl up, his arm under her now. "No, not scary," he told her, shaking his head a little. He sat directly beside Praxis, not going to take the young girl away from where she felt safe. "Besides, if I was you could take me anyway," he said to her. "You would scare me away instead," he said wit ha smile, reassuring her.

The other children cheered and laughed among themselves before they returned to playing with shouts of 'watch this' and 'look at what i can do!' back toward Andrew and Praxis. The boy at her hip now had his head on her lap and his arms still tightly around her waist. He was curled up against her as if she was a teddy bear or his own mother. Praxis didn't mind in the least as she kept running her fingers from the boy's cheek to his arm and back, soothing him and keeping him restful. Whenever she stopped he would start to wake up, whining slightly, so she started again. Andrew sitting beside her made a smile cross her lips again as she sat how he got along with the children. Dreama was giggling now, her arms around his neck and her head against his cheek. She looked from him to Praxis and then back and giggled again. "Mama Princess love..." she didn't know what to call him. She just went with the first thing that popped into her head. "Papa Lord?"

Praxis chuckled, her hand reaching out and poking against Dreama's nose. "Yes, very much so." This made Dreama giggle and smile, her head snuggling back into the crook of Andrew's neck. Soon after she shifted so she was on the other side of Andrew and between him and Praxis. When she caught his eye she asked the same question again.

"Papa Lord love Mama Princess?"

Andrew smiled kindly at the exchange between them too, chuckling a little when Praxis poked her. He then smiled again at the question's repetition, in different order. "More than anything in the entire world and beyond, Dreama," he told her, waving his hand across the air in a large slow motion as he spoke. "What about you?" he asked her. Do you love Mama Princess?" He grinned down gently at her, his fangs showing again.
