Selena froze solid. She really didn't want to see Ron, she hadn't seen him since the end of their sixth year, when he left her... Of course that didn't matter now, but Selena wasn't really looking forward to a 'chance meeting' with the two of them. She looked up at him with wide eyes and a slight frown. However, as he spoke she just slapped his arm lightly and gave him a playful glare. "Wasn't funny..." she grumbled, though she couldn't help the slight grin. "Yup, I'll see if I can just sneak her off for a moment. It'll only take a few minutes and I'll know," she teased back, glancing up at him with slightly raised brows, indicating she was playing with him as well. She just shrugged and sat up slowly. "If we see them we see them. If not, good," she said before chuckling a little. She didn't have any feelings left for Ron, but... there wasn't really any closer to their relationship and that had bothered her for years. Now it didn't matter to her though, she had Draco and she was where she wanted to be.

Draco chuckled and got out of the coach before offering her his hand. He lifted her out and kept his arm around her as they walked down a stone staircase and toward the edge of a river. It was clear to see, on a little island far over the edge of the lake, there was a small cottage like house that had odd add-ons that could only belong to a weasley but it was far enough away that anyone in the house probably wouldn't see them at the moment. "What do you think? I use to come here a lot to escape things." He grinned as they walked so close to the edge of the water that the cold breeze started to hit them stronger then before.

Selena stepped out of the carriage and instantly took in a sharp breath and then lost her ability to breathe. She walked slowly, leaning on him a little for support but truthfully -maybe because she was outside where she loved most to be- she was feeling a bit better than before. She still stumbled now and then, her knees giving in, but for the most part she walked fine as long as she took it a little slower than normal. As they came to the river the first thing she noticed was not the cottage on the island, but the clearness of the water. This river looked purer than most and clear as day. She smiled broadly, but as she looked up she recognized the Weasley Way of the structure and the smile faded a little. She didn't loose it completely though and turned to him. "Your escape has a great view of their house.... I'm shocked," she said with a smirk. Now she new they were going to run into them at some point. How could anyone live in such a wondrous place and not be out in it every single day... Oh well, she would be fine with it. the cold breeze nipped her and her skin became littered with little goosebumps. She paid no attention though, closing her eyes, tilting her head back and letting everything around them just feed her soul. She smiled genuinely, the sounds and smells making her feel alive.

Chuckling, Draco nodded. "Yes it does, but that cottage wasn't always here. They only moved here when they had their first child and I haven't been here since Scorpius was...oh...about three then." He kept his arms around her as they walked, looking over at her often and just getting lost in thought as his eyes shone with his unspoken thoughts. "Your beautiful Selena," he whispered as he pulled her closer and put his lips near her ear. As she tilted her head back, the wind hitting them both, he moved to kiss her but ended up kissing her neck and nipping it slightly before he just kissed up to her ear again. "Feeling alright?"

Selena smiled a sweet silent thank you and closed her eyes as her head tilted back gently. When he kissed her she smiled purely until he reached her ear. Here she drew in a sharp gasp, but he recovered quickly. "Much better," she said, turning in his arms to face him. She let her hands slide from his stomach up his chest and over his shoulders, feeling his skinny yet muscular arms. She locked her hands behind his neck and smiled still sweetly. "Why do you ask, love?" she asked him, tilting her head a little to the side. Before he got a chance to answer though, Selena let her head move forward of its' own accord, taking the kiss her lips were aching for.

Draco watched her as she moved and got closer to him, not even bothering trying to think of an answer. All he noticed were her lips, those lips he had wanted since he was eleven. He smirked as she moved closer and quickly deepened the kiss by wrapping his arms around her. One laid on her lower back as the other moved between her shoulder blades and trailed her neck. He crushed her flush against him and didn't give her a chance to break the kiss.

Selena let her eyes drift closed as she melted into him. She made a small noise when she felt herself pinned tightly against him, but she just smile and let her arms snugly hold him to her as well. Without her knowledge, one of her feet raised from the ground barely, her toes curling under the kiss and her ankle tucking itself behind the other. She let her lips move with his, melding with him perfectly. Now that she'd given in to her feelings she couldn't get enough of him. She paid no attention to the cottage, or the island at all. All she seemed aware of was the nature around her and the lips that reminded her of the taste of sweet cinnamon milk and coffee truffle.

Draco let their bodies separate for air if nothing else. Draco looked down at her, pushing her hair back as he gave her soft, gentle kisses over and over. At last he just looked into her eyes and grinned. "I don't like it when your bedridden, sucks all the fun out of everything when I can't pull you around places like old times." He grinned and took her hand before pulling her down the path so they could walk along the water.

Selena gave him a slightly challenging look. "You can." she protested. "I'm fine." She let go of his hand for a moment and forced herself to stand upright. She had a little trouble, her muscles aching a bit as if they wanted to give out, but she would not allow it. If he tried to reach for her she'd bat him away gently. "See, I'm fine." she said, walking a little slowly, but better than she had been. She was able to walk and truthfully his mention of dragging her around seemed to awaken a knew energy in her. She wouldn't be bedridden if she could do anything about it. Finally she let him have her hand but she continued to walk without help and after a little bit she was able to walk normal speed and eventually she was having minimal problems. She was tired physically and mentally, but as long as she could keep herself awake she would be able to walk with him.

"We'll leave before nightfall." He mentioned, which wasn't far off. "If you want we can come back tomorrow or go somewhere else but its best not to linger after hours. Weasley's taken to patroling the grounds like the Auror he is and will attack before thinking things through." Perhaps that was a good trait but he couldn't hep but laugh, entertained by the fact that nothing really had changed. As they walked Draco would pick up items that she might like, a flower, a shell, anything really. He grinned and put the flower in her hair.

Selena chuckled a little, shaking her head a bit. "Alright," she said with a slight sigh. A bit down the river and now Selena was carrying a few shells, some nice leaves that had fallen from the trees and had a pretty flower holding some of her curls off of the right side of her face. She stopped when they came to an area where the river broke off into a small trickling creak. she bent a little, slowly descending to her knees, and slipped her hand into the water, supping it gently. She held the shells and leaves in the other hand, and slowly lifted her hand to reveal she had scooped up a small minnow with a handful of water. She smiled a little at Draco before the water ran out and she set the small fish back into the water. 'It's very pretty here," she said as she stood up straight.

As she bent down Draco stood behind her and put his hands on his lower back, arching slightly as he stretched and looked at the sky. More over, he was facing the sky but his eyes kept darting to her form and taking it in. She always had a nice butt heh. The by the time she was standing and turning around again he had a cocky grin on his lips and he acted as if he almost didn't hear her. "Hmm? Oh--yeah it is. It's just starting to get it's colour back."

Selena couldn't keep her msile away, though his grin had her wondering just what he was thinking. then again, she probably didn't want to know.... yes she did. "what're you grinning for?" she asked with her head tilted just a little. She heard something off in the distance and glanced through the bushes, but the nature around them seemed to cocoon them from view as well as block out their own. Must have been an animal of course, she thought to herself and she brushed past him gently, sure to let her body graze his in a slightly teasing way like she used to.

"Eh? Nothing." He grinned and wrapped his arms around her, playfully gripping her bum before simply letting his hand lay on her hip. "We should get out of here before we're frozen and destroyed by him." He chuckled and then started to walk with her back toward the carriage.

Selena gave a slight frown, but she smiled anyway and nodded. "Alright..." She watched the water while they walked, the sky getting a pretty sunset pink and orange tint to it. "Can we come back sometime?" she asked him with as innocent a gaze as that of a child. she smiled a little and had her elbow wrapped around his lovingly as they walked together. She heard noises here and there, but she just accepted them as sounds of nature.

Ron had been out paroling the area, as he did every night--and which he had started when he had needed time to think to himself--when he heard someone walking around. Narrowing his eyes, he began to track them. It wasn't until they were near a carriage that he finally stepped out from the shadows. "...Malfoy?" He was slightly confused but just grinned as he looked over at the man. His grin dropped when he recognized the woman on his arm.

Draco chuckled and nodded. "Yes we can come back." He rubbed her back slightly as they moved and ignored any sounds around them. "I'll send letter the Weasley's next time so they know we're be about." After that the walk was rather quiet until at last he heard someone say his name. Ronald's voice wasn't as annoying as it use to be, in fact he actually sounded like a man instead of a blood traitor now--probably all the Auror work-- and it took him a moment to realize who it was when he turned around. "Ah, Weasley. Intruding are we?"

[center]Selena gave a girlie little squeal, quiet though it was. She kissed his cheek and lay her head on his shoulder while they walked. She was holding the things in her free hand tightly but gently and looking at the shells when she heard the voice. She turned when he did, and froze solid. It lasted only a few seconds before she was no longer shocked to see him and she simply stayed composed. She kept her arm locked with Draco's, but her hands came together politely like she felt they should. The flower in her hair seemed to reflect the sunset in her large ice blue eyes, and her lips tightened a little but did not purse in anger. She caught his gaze, but immediately looked away.

Greaaaat she's still mad. Eh, at least that means Slytherin over there kept his end of the deal. Ron sighed before putting his wand away in his wrist holder and scratching the back of his head. His wand was always ready should anything happen, however. "So, what brings you back here? It's been years since I last caught you lingering around here at night."

"We came for a walk." Draco shrugged. Usually he would have said something crude but for once he had to admit, this was the Weasley's property. He owned the whole area they were walking around and he was lucky he wasn't getting his head chewed off for trespassing.

Ron sighed again and looked back at his house. "So your leaving? If you want you can come in for some tea, I'm sure Hermione wouldn't mind." Well, more he hoped she wouldn't. It was late but usually she stayed up to have tea and read her book, or one of them, about this so he figured company wouldn't be too bad.

Draco shrugged and looked at Selena, letting her choose if they stayed or left.

Selena had to admnit, she wished Draco would have made the choice. She didn't want to accept the offer and upset Draco, and she didn't want to deny it and upset him either. She wasn't really sure, but she just relaxed her expression and gave a small nod. "I'm sure that would be lovely. haven't seen her in a few years," she said with a slight forced chuckle.

Hermione was in fact setting the kettle on the stove at this very minute. She could make it magically, but Hermione liked the way tea tasted when it was made the muffle way. She had found Ron liked it too, of course she only told him it was the muggle method AFTER he'd drank his tea happily. Of course, like his father she had to pour in a splash of gin or he just wasn't happy. Just as Ron made it to the door Hermione's back was facing the door. Her hair was much longer and considerably less bushy. She still had tight ringlets that fell to just above the middle of her back, and she still wore glasses; they were slimmer and complimented her face much better and she was still thin. She was dressed in a deep burgundy sweater that clung to her nicely, but covered her well also. She wore a pair of tan tight khaki type pants, showing she'd filled out nicely. She still acted as the same old Hermione though, a bookworm who believed herself to be a little on the ugly side.

"So it's decided." He kept his arm around Selena as Ron showed them back down the path they had just walked from and through a forest area until they found a bridge that neither had been able to see before. Once closer Draco let Selena walk through the door before him and got out of the way for Ronald to close it.

Ron slipped in last and closed the door before walking over to Hermione and putting his head on her shoulder. "Muggle tea again?" He whined jokingly before kissing her cheek. "We've got guests." When she looked up he pointed over at the two who were looking around. The house was rather nice but still had that homey feeling the last Weasley house had. "You remember Malfoy and Selena." It took a split second of getting over the lump in his throat to say her name but he got it out without much problem.

Hermione chuckled lovingly and patted the side of his cheek gently. She turned around at his mention of guests -this late?- and she nearly choked on nothing. She covered it by clearing her throat gently and her hands nervously tugged her sweater down delicately. "Oh, hello Draco. Selena. Welcome to our home." She stuttered a little at first, but quickly recovered. "Oh, please, sit down. make yourselves comfortable, I'll add more water to the kettle." She went about pouring some more water into the rather large kettle. she pulled out a few more tea bags and some extra herb and spice. She added a sweet spice to her homemade tea. Once she was sure everything was ready she went back to stand with Ronald.

Selena smiled sweetly. "Hello Hermione, it's been a long time." Her eyes flickered over Ron briefly, but she quickly pushed the past away. She didn't care anymore, she had Draco. Yes, she had strong feelings for Ron in the past, he was her teenage attempt at love. However, Draco filled a part of her no one, not even Ron, ever could. He made her feel complete. "Nice place," she added as she gratefully took a seat.

Ron smiled at Hermione when she blundered. Least she feels about as awkward as I do with this whole thing. When she was done with the tea he moved to put his arms around her. It wasn't to show off to Draco that he got her or to Selena that she wasn't his any more, it was just what he did. Since their 'seventh year' and with being an Auror and all, Ron was slightly...a lot over protective but it was mainly just in hugs and such like this. He didn't feel complete without holding onto her. "So," he said, breaking the odd silence. "How have you two been? It's been a long time...last time we talked I think I was telling my Rosie to make sure she beat your boy at everything." He glanced at Hermione and grinned. "I'm still glad she got your brains instead of mine."

Draco stood behind Selena with his hand on the back of her chair as he glanced over Hermione. She had grown, he'd give her that. At Ronald's mention of Scorpius he chuckled and nodded. "Yes...and for a time there it looked as if our families would join if I remember correctly. Scorpius is getting married to a different young lady now, however."

"Marriage eh? What is with kids now, they don't even finish school and already prepared for marriage. I thought those days were over. Must be a new fad....i hope it doesn't end too badly." He thought over Rose and Lysander, remembering what he had asked during the winter. It wasn't his choice but he had reluctantly told Lysander he could have his daughter's hand, but he was not happy about it at all. However, if it made his Rosie happy, he wasn't going to stop it until it became something worth stopping.

Hermione blushed a little, as she always did when he was any ind of intimate in front of company. Hermione still seemed like a prude, though her antics hidden behind closed doors hadn't changed. She gave each of them a small look over, cursing herself a little. Draco would know how crazy she was on the inside, but she prayed he'd grown respectful enough not to say anything about it. She smiled at Ron's comment, chuckling slightly. "That makes two of us, dear," she said with a slight teasing grin. She then looked to Selena. "You piratically disappeared off the face of the earth after we graduated. What on earth happened to you?" she asked Selena. The two had become friends in their sixth year, but after Hermione had disappeared and come back, Selena had found a way to disappear herself.

Selena bit her tongue for a moment. She didn't really want to say 'oh, since you and Ron left Sidney decided I was going to be his property and I was not only raped, but threatened often. Not to mention was depressed and wanted to die as it was, so I hid from anyone I knew in school.' She just gave a small smile instead and said, "I moved out of the country for a while, after we graduated."

"Oh, that sounds wonderful," Hermione replied, happy for the girl. "And how did you end up with Draco?" She was smiling and just making small talk, trying to get over the awkward feeling in the room. Hermione used to sleep with Draco, and Ron was once with Selena and the two were horn dogs It was a little odd to her to be sitting in the room opposite their past affairs... who had gotten together same as she and Ron...

Selena gave a small smile, and gave Draco a slight sideways glance first to see if her wanted to tell. When he didn't she smiled p at Hermione. "Well, I came back, I was back for about a week or so, when Draco passed by a store in Diagon Alley. We talked for a bit, went to the Leaky Cauldron to catch up a little, then he said, 'come on, let's go home...'" She smiled a little, remembering it perfectly. "I didn't really know what to say, but I bit the bait and came home with him." She grinned a little, but took a sip of the tea Hermione was now handing her in an attempt to quiet herself. "Hermione, this is wonderful. What do you put in it?"

"Family secret," she said slyly, handing a cup to Draco as well. She then made herself and Ronald a cup. She set the now empty kettle on a part of the stove hat had not been on to cool, and brought him his cup. She held hers in both hands and sipped it gently.

"Yeah and don't bother trying to get it out of me, it's a 'family secret' known only to her." He grinned as he took a sip of his own before putting it on the counter, not really wanting to relax with guests around. He too felt the awkward air around but just held back on saying much of anything. As usual he kept his eyes on the windows and his ears strained. He had been trained by Mad Moody and it was easy to see he was suspicious of nearly every sound, which didn't help since he lived on a lake near a forest where it was normally always windy. Yeah, not the most logical choice, but he saw how much Hermione had loved it here when they were looking for places and he couldn't help wanting to make her happy. Just like he had, at one time, wanted to make Selena happy. "And since when did we graduate?" Ron joked as he went to sit at the table across from Draco and Selena. "Last I remember we came back and destroyed part of the school, making everyone go home early."

Draco, who didn't have much of a problem with talking about the night he himself had nearly been killed, chuckled. "If i remember correctly you two weren't there the whole year to begin with. I doubt you would have graduated, Weasley. Best of you to stay home anyway."

"Oh yes, Malfoy, I was very much at home just relaxing, not running around with a bloody light out." The two males might have been speaking harshly, as the use to, but the each seemed to be joking around, though it might not have seemed that way to the women. "Watch it, I'll make you eat slugs for sure this time."

"Oh, finally fixed that pitiful wand of yours?"

"Well enough to attack you with at least." They both laughed and Ron went back to drinking a bit of his tea.

Hermione just rolled her eyes. She knew Ron was joking, but she found the two of them to be the same as in school. Boys. She chuckled a little and shrugged a shoulder, giving Selena an 'oh well' sort of look. She set her cup on the table and sat beside Ron.

Selena sat there quietly, rather enjoying her tea. "Some things never change," she said with a slight grin, easing up quickly. It didn't take Selena long to get over the awkwardness of a situation. "How many kids have you got?"she asked with a smile, addressing them both.

Hermione gladly answered. "Oh, um two. Rose is sixteen, same as Draco's sun, and Hugo, he's fourteen. A handful, they are, much like their father." She gave Ron a slight teasing smile. She then turned back to Selena. "Well, I know of Draco's son, but what about you? Have you any children yet?"

Selena shook her head with a gentle smile. "No, 'fraid not. I've yet to even settle down." Truthfully she hadn't. She had her boyfriends from time to time, and her occasional live-ins, but she had never been proposed to, and she had never even thought of settling down really. Of course she thought about having children from time to time, but in all honesty she feared she would be a bad mother... she hadn't really had much of a teacher, after all. Even now with Draco, though she believed him when he said he loved her and she very much loved him, she was still prepared for the breakup. Things never lasted with her, though she knew one thing that would be different about this one; she wouldn't be the one walking away when it happens.

Though he acted like he wasn't, Ron was interested in Selena and Hermione's conversation. He kept chatting with Draco instead, however. Soon the two were excusing themselves from the girls and getting up. As he went to put his now empty cup in the sink, Ron ducked down and kissed Hermione's temple, knowing she was still shy and wanting to tease her back just as she had him. He them brought Draco into the den where the pictures of his family, including Harry and the others of the Order from way back when, were looking around from the frames and paintings on the walls. "You haven't told her huh?"

"A deal is a deal." He replied, matter o' factly. Shrugging, he took a seat by the fire and relaxed. "Bit odd isn't this?"

"Yeah but don't get any ideas, Malfoy. No swinging." The two men laughed and both stared into the fire, though Ron did so like a war veteran while Draco simply did out of interest. "Do you want that yet?"

"What?....Oh, that, no not yet. I haven't decided how long this will last yet." The conversation continued from there but in hushed tones so the females couldn't hear. When at last the girls joined them both were on a different topic, this one happening to be Quidditch.
